Big Island of Hawaii Water Equipment

I had an amazing paddleboarding experience in Hawaii! As a total beginner, I was a bit nervous, but it was so easy to pick up. If you can do basic yoga moves like downward dog or a forward fold, you’ll be just fine. The beach was really calm, right by the showers near the Hiltons. The owner was amazing—so helpful and encouraging. It was definitely worth the experience. I never fell off once! I highly recommend just renting a board and going for it—no lesson needed!

Amazing time! The clear bottom kayak was so cool- we saw so many fish and coral. Would def recommend doing this!

This was a great experience, we saw so much of the ocean through the glass bottom. Saw dozens of dolphins dancing in the air and below us too! Definitely do this one! Staff was very helpful and even helped us find good places to eat and snorkel

Had a wonderful time kayaking. Not so much fun having to pull a heavy kayak through traffic to the beach.

It should be known that you have to pick up your kayak and take it to the water. If you have hernias or a repaired neck, it might not be such an easy task. We had to walk away from this excursion but no fault of the shops! He was very friendly and polite and offered plus a discount of purchase in his store just so it wasn't a wasted trip. If I could handle the kayak, it would've been a great day.

It was hard to see through the bottom and only saw a few fish. We saw Spinner dolphins which was really cool.

Chris was amazing to work with! The weather wasn’t ideal and he still made suggestions that would help us out and I was super impressed. We hope to come back to do it again!

We loved it! The person who helped was super friendly and helpful. We rented a 2 person glass bottom kayak and found it pretty easy to get it from the shop to the water. Didn’t see many fish but as we were about to paddle south, we were suddenly surrounded by dolphins. They put on an amazing show! We felt it was such a gift to see them.

Wife and I went on a trip to Kona for our anniversary and rented a Kayak. Dana was extreme knowledgeable and helpful for us first time kayakers.

Staff was amazing in every way! Had the time of my life! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience an adventure on the water!

This was such a great time! It was a 10 min walk with Kayak to launch point of my choosing. It was safe and calm; I didn't feel rushed or nervous. Life jackets were provided with friendly instruction on Kayak use for a novice like me. I could see the reef below with the yellow tangs grazing by the coral. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were also honest telling me the day before conditions were not great. But I came back and I am soooo glad I did. Thank you Saltwater Soul for a wonderful time!!!

Check in and check out was a breeze. Very friendly business and owner was super helpful. It is a bit of a walk to the boat launch but worth it. Clear bottom kayaking is the way to go!

We rented two 2-man kayaks and went out with our kids (7 & 11). It took less than 10 mins to wheel the kayaks to the launch point at the beach. We rolled them down the sidewalk on the ocean side with no problem. We easily made our way south past the pier and explored the bay. We really enjoyed relaxing while looking for fish. We’ve gone kayaking in various locations. This one was just perfect. We didn’t have to kayak far to see sea life, the water was calm, and other than the glass bottom boat passing by every once in a while, there were no motorboats. There’s also no jet skis! We had fun and would do it again!

Had a great time, we kayaked for 2 hrs which was the perfect amount of time. The people that helped us were very helpful and gave us great tips.
