Tylor, our first rate guide, was a wealth of information regarding all aspects of Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park! We loved his vast knowledge of this specific ecosystem - including Kilauea and Mona Loa - two of the world’s active and largest volcanoes, his personal unique insights and affable congeniality. Given it was our first e-bike tour experience (literally meaning our very first time on a e-bike!) there was some trepidation initially, but his step-by-step tutorial soon put to rest any concerns or worries we may have had. Of note, Tylor stressed a reassuring emphasis of safety and it being paramount given the sharing of the road with the multitude of park visitors. It was well worth the cost given the three hours covering a large expanse of the park you wouldn’t normally see if on your own. We did the Anna Ranch tour yesterday and had a great time. We're both advanced cyclist so to ride with an experienced guide who knows cycling and the history of the ranch and the island, was an awesome experience. Thomas was great. He showed us water falls, hiking trails, talked history and cycling as a sport. If you're on the Big Island and you dig everything I just mentioned, this should be on your itinerary.

The absolute best way to see the Park. The navigation APP was amazing and easy to follow. You get to see areas that would normally require a 1/4 to 1/2 mile walk with ease. Gwendolyn was amazing in getting us set up and used to the bikes. Highly recommend this no-brainer way to see an amazing park.

We had a blast! The bikes were solid and comfortable. The app was easy to use and provided good guidance around the park. Being on the bikes had the major bonus of not having to find parking at all the viewpoints. My son (15) depleted his battery by using the throttle too much, so he had to pedal back the last couple of miles. I pedaled the entire time, so didn't have to worry about battery power, and the pedal assist made it easy to climb the hills without much effort. We may have taken slightly too long at our lunch stop as there was a section of the route that we had to skip in order to be back at the starting point by 2, but again, my son used up his battery, so that worked out just fine. The only note I will make - follow the directions to the Lava Rock Cafe! I assumed we were starting inside the park somewhere, so paid the entry fee before realizing we were in the wrong spot- the instructions for the activity came with a link to pay the entry fee, so that definitely contributed to my misunderstanding. If I can support National Parks for $30, I don't mind.

Jade led our e-bike tour through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and absolutely made the experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the volcanic landscape, the geology, the history, and the unique plants and wildlife we encountered—and she shared it all with such genuine warmth and enthusiasm. The e-bikes made the terrain accessible and fun, and Jade's attentiveness to our group meant we felt safe and supported the entire time. What really stood out was how much she clearly cares about sharing the magic of the park with visitors. We had such a wonderful time pedaling through lava fields and native forests with her guidance. If you're visiting the Big Island, this tour with Jade is an absolute must-do. Five stars, no question.

Great experience hiking and biking across the lava flows with Maddie, and it was interesting talking about their off grid lifestyle.

Natalie, Rachel and Thomas were AMAZING!!! Had the best time with them and highly recommend them!! . I was nervous to ride the e-bike up the mountain but they were so helpful and patient. Great tour up the mountain side to the waterfall. Thank you for the great adventure!

Derek was a wonderful guide. He is very knowledgeable about the park history and the surrounding landscapes where we stopped for fantastic views. This ebike tour is the best one of the 5 we have done across the US.

The best way to see all the points of interest in Volcano NP! We never had to worry if there were parking spots left at all the points of interest. GPS narration/navigation was very helpful. We did not use the “info” feature as we had to go through several screens to get to it. The one time we did use the info narration button it was informative. We did not like the case that held our phones. It was difficult to see the screen and our phones were not protected from the sun, which caused our phones to overheat. Once we moved our phones to our pockets we were able to listen to prompts for navigation. We would definitely do this tour again and highly recommend. It was fantastic to feel the breeze as we rode. Walking was too hot! Bike battery was great as well. I used mine a lot and never ran out. Take your own small backpack to carry sunblock and water.

Alex and Big Island Bike Co. are the best. We have gone on several of their rides and everyone has had a great time. The e-bikes are game changers!

What an amazing experience this was for our family. We made a reservation for the whole family, two decided to hike the ranch and the rest of us hit the green trails. Needless to say, our guide was great going back and forth checking in on the scattered riders and hikers making sure everyone was doing well. The views were amazing, the waterfalls were incredible, and the ride was just a mountain bikers dream. 🤙 Everyone enjoyed themselves, including the non experienced riders. Thank you for the incredible ride!

Best adventure ever! We tagged along with another couple who had scheduled this e-bike tour! Fortunately, a volcano started erupting that morning! We were helpfully prepared and cautioned where to go and how to stay safe and still see this magnificent phenomenon! We had the most amazing sights and enjoyed the ride immensely! A bucket list item for sure!

Be prepared to take lots of photos at stops! The learning curb is very forgiving for first time riders.
