Big Island of Hawaii Shore Excursions

Daniel was very informative. He knew and understood the major sights as well as giving a lot of local knowledge that made the trip very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

We are a family ranging from 4 to 73 y/o. We enjoyed the boat ride although sitting for awhile in a bumpy ride is not so comfortable still we had fun. Captain and crew were very friendly and informative. We saw a lot if dolphins and fishes while snorkeling at captain cook. We wish we even had more time snorkeling. My niece 6 y/o and nephew 4 y/o was their first time snorkeling and they were experts right away. I was kinda scared for them going into the water but they actually had the most fun. There was enough lunch and snacks and drinks for our family. We even brought home the leftovers. It’s also easy to find the location and once you book, you just show up and they were really nice. They even gave us sun screen to use. Also everything is provided for the snorkeling.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our tour, all thanks to Daniel! His vast knowledge of Hawaiian culture and the fascinating diversity behind it truly set this experience apart. At every single stop, he was engaging, kind, and packed full of great information. He was also super thoughtful about taking group photos for us, ensuring we got amazing memories together as a family. We couldn't have asked for a better guide—mahalo, Daniel!

Great trip, very informative and got to see so many ares of the park. Van was very nice and comfortable and had video to provide a lot of great info on way up to the park. Photos another great perk! Highly recommend

This was amazing in every way. We come to the Big Island every summer from New York. We cannot wait to get out on the water. Joe was hilarious and a wealth of knowledge Ko was a master captain and took us to two amazing places to explore the water. We were amazed how we saw baby reef sharks in a cave. They were both so great to my daughter and husband but extra special to my grandchildren who are almost 5 and almost 3.

Captains Joe and Ko were AMAZING! We saw dolphins, an octopus, 2 monk seals, turtles, and a baby shark! Incredible experience, and they were both very knowledgeable and fantastic wildlife spotters!

Fabulous experience for my family. Super easy pick up from the Pride of America and off we went to the volcano national park. Our guide Jodi was amazing. We had so much fun at the park exploring the different areas. Everything about this adventure was fantastic for my family and I highly recommend!

This was an amazing tour. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, Jodi is so engaging and knowledgeable. We had adults and teenagers and everyone enjoyed our tour. She customized to what we did and didn't want to do, timed it so we beat the crowds and buses. Highly recommend

This excursion went perfectly from start to finish. Our booking experience with Shawn was very smooth and our day out with Lisa was a heap of fun. We were picked up at Kona Airport right on time. We had a great day out with personable and knowledgeable Lisa. Lunch was a picnic from the excellent bakery. Our only complaint was that they couldn't time the volcano to go off while we were there. I mean really, what's wrong with you guys?!We would definitely travel with this team again.

We had an amazing experience with Big Island VIP on a single-day inter-island trip to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Our private guide, Rob, was knowledgeable, fun, and made the day incredibly engaging—especially for our 13-year-old.The tour was fully customized for our family and included exploring lava fields, learning about the volcanoes, and even watching a volcano documentary on the van’s video screen between stops. Water and snacks were provided, which was a great touch.We missed the most recent eruption by less than 24 hours (sigh!) but Rob sent photos and videos of it to us which was super nice!A fantastic, educational experience and a highlight of our trip. Our driver, Morgan, was great. On time, courteous, knowledgeable. Tailored the day to our needs. The vehicle was clean and stocked with water. Delivered us to the airport at the end, right on time.

There were 8 of us on a family trip to hawaii and we had the most amazing day with Morgan as our driver/tour guide. He was so fun, knowledgeable about the island, and the best photographer. We saw so many amazing sights and he was fully prepared with all of the things we needed for our beach time. The van was so comfy and the day flew by (in the best way) ! Highlight of our trip in Hawaii. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to see all the cool things Hilo has to offer.

We went on a Zodiak & snorkeling adventure with Captain Rick & Demonte. It was excellent. They were professional, friendly & very informative. We went early in the morning & Captain Cook Cove was quiet. The snorkeling was unbelievable. This one a great adventure & so much fun. I would suggest this for anyone who wants a great water adventure. Thank you to Tick & Demonte for making this a unforgettable experience.

Went to Volcano National Park and it just happened the volcano was erupting! Our wonderful guide, Morgan worked it out so we could get fantastic locations to have a once in a lifetime experience! A day we will never forget!
