Seeing the volcano was the main event, but the Queen Liluokalani Gardens were beautiful. The Rainbow Waterfall was one of the more memorable falls on my trip. I learned a lot about volcanoes from Kemo. He was the best!

We travel quite a bit, and this was one of the very best tours we have been on. We went not only to volcanoes national Park, but to the waterfall tour and historic downtown Hilo but what made the trip the most enjoyable was our tour guide Kimo. He was extremely knowledgeable and very, very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend him for any tour.

We booked a trip around the island for Sept 8. through Cool Hawaii/Cool Hawaii with only 24 hours notice. We received a call 1 hour prior to departure from the operating company KapohoKine Adventures. It seems there was an error in the reservation.The disappointment was short lived as KapohoKine Adventures stepped up and sent guide MAC HUGHES in a van and we were on our way.We were thrilled with his knowledge of the island, its history, native plants and animals. We will return and book with KapohaKine Adventures again!!

We had the best time! Dan was an amazing tour guide! The guy literally knows everything about everything and is super friendly. He stopped at a roadside fruit vendor and purchased numerous different fruits for us to try. He was super accommodating for our 16 month old.

We were vacationing with our 3 generation family and did this tour with Mac as our guide. He did an excellent job relating to all of us and was able to keep the youngest involved and listening. I would gladly book another tour with Mac. We were even able to cap off a great day with a beautiful sunset on the way home.

Took the waterfalls and volcano tour. Absolutely wonderful. A small family owned and operated business, with tons of local knowledge and advice on things to do. Jade led our e-bike tour through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and absolutely made the experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the volcanic landscape, the geology, the history, and the unique plants and wildlife we encountered—and she shared it all with such genuine warmth and enthusiasm. The e-bikes made the terrain accessible and fun, and Jade's attentiveness to our group meant we felt safe and supported the entire time. What really stood out was how much she clearly cares about sharing the magic of the park with visitors. We had such a wonderful time pedaling through lava fields and native forests with her guidance. If you're visiting the Big Island, this tour with Jade is an absolute must-do. Five stars, no question.
