We had an absolutely incredible experience with Hawaii by Storm, and I cannot recommend our driver, Mark, highly enough. I am a very anxious passenger and, before our Road to Hana tour, I was genuinely worried about the drive. With Mark, I was not scared for even a second. He is an exceptionally skilled driver, knows the road inside and out, and made me feel completely safe and comfortable the entire day. For someone who gets nervous on winding and challenging roads, that alone made the experience priceless. But Mark was so much more than a great driver. He was funny, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and just an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. He knew so much about Maui, the Road to Hana, and Hawaiian history and culture, and shared it in such an interesting and entertaining way. We were traveling as a family—my husband and me and our two young adult children—and he related so naturally to every one of us. He was also completely flexible and made the day feel like our tour rather than a set itinerary. We did the Epic Tour, which I highly recommend. Instead of turning around and driving back the same way, we continued around the full loop and got to experience the incredible backside of Maui as well. We are so glad we chose that option. This was a splurge for us, but it was worth every penny. Having Mark drive meant that all four of us could relax, enjoy the scenery and experience the Road to Hana together without anyone having to concentrate on navigating or driving. If you are considering a private Road to Hana tour, book Hawaii by Storm and request Mark. I truly can't say enough good things about him. He made what I had worried might be a stressful day into one of the highlights of our Maui vacation. Thank you, Mark, for an unforgettable day!

We had an incredible experience with Hawaii by Storm’s Half-Day Road to Hana tour. It was the perfect way to experience the beauty of the Road to Hana without committing to an entire day.Our guide, Spencer, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely passionate about Maui and its history, culture, and natural beauty. He knew exactly where to stop, kept the day moving at a comfortable pace, and made the entire experience fun for our family. Having Spencer as our guide allowed us to relax and actually enjoy the drive and scenery instead of worrying about navigating the Road to Hana ourselves.The half-day format was also ideal. We saw waterfalls, incredible coastline, lush rainforest, and some truly spectacular scenery while still having plenty of the day left afterward.If you’re considering a Road to Hana tour, I highly recommend Hawaii by Storm, and ask for Spencer if you can. One of the Best Experiences of Our Maui Trip!
This was hands-down one of the best experiences of our trip! We rappelled into a ravine and then down two waterfalls in the rainforest along the Road to Hana. It was such a cool and unique way to experience Maui.It was the perfect combination of adventure and challenge while still feeling safe the entire time. Everyone in our family had a blast!Our guides, Mikaela and Shauna, were awesome—full of energy, incredibly knowledgeable and just fun to spend the morning with. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident while still keeping it exciting.We also loved the eco-tour through the rainforest at the end. It was an unexpected bonus and really fun and interesting.Definitely time and money well spent and one of the highlights of our Maui trip. Highly recommend!

Was weary of making the drive myself since I wanted to view the sites instead of worrying about the drive. So glad sister and I booked this trip with Local Maui Tours. Met easily with guide (I'm horrible with names, Callen sp?) at a safe location. He drove a clean and very comfortable Wagoner. Felt very comfortable with his driving especially with all the curves, bridges and having to stop for single lane sections in some areas. He was very thoughtful and brought a fresh coconut and mangoes for us to try along with extra water. Beautiful drive with what seemed like waterfalls around every curve. Had plenty of time to enjoy the stops along the way.
