The experience at the boat ride was excellent, except when we arrived in Lahaina it was a mall parking lot, so we called customer service if we were in the right place, but they treat us like we are stupid people the way the male customer service representative answered. I asked if we were on the right place since it was a mall. I asked where the place is, we are not from this area. he answered, " will you won't be parasailing in the mall". I answered him in a cold voice "we know, we are not stupid that is why we are asking" If I could just cancel my trip that day, I would. We came from a different State, they could had been nicer or more welcoming. but maybe because of my accent, he thinks he can make fun of us. It was not a great experience with the customer service people.

Super fun experience. Waves we're larger than expected, so be prepared if you're a first timer like i was, you may end up paddling quite a ways out, and not realize that until you can finally take a break, and turn around. The instructor was very experienced, and can get a great feel for if this is safe enough for you or not. Just listen, follow directions, and have fun!

Came back a second time for a group surf lesson prior to leaving Maui. The weather was not the most cooperative but Maui Surface Girls was very reasonable with their accommodations and allowed me attend part of 2 separate classes to make up for lost time. Even though I was booked as part of a group, Jedi took time to get me up on a couple of waves while the rest of the class finished their lesson. He also swam out to pull me into a shallower area after I drifted out deeper than I attended. Mario the photographer captured some great shots! Surfing was definitely a highlight of my Maui trip, thanks again Maui Surfer Girls!

Jedi was super supportive and got me up on the surfboard in no time. I honestly didn't think it was possible due to issues with my knees. He was very patient with me and cheered me on every step of the way. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much about the geography of the ocean, the etiquette of surfing and most especially the Zen of being at one with the ocean. Thank you, Jedi!

I have never surfed before and truly had a blast! Dan was a phenomenal instructor and helped me feel comfortable and confident on the water. By the end of the lesson, I was surfing slightly bigger and faster waves! Kiki the photographer also captured exceptional photos during the lessons. Thank you Maui Surfer Girls for a wonderful experience and the great work you do in the community!

I tried surfing for the first time ever in Hawaii! I had such a blast in the group lesson and met a lot of nice people! The instructor’s Devon and Theo were very friendly and knowledgeable about surfing and they were very encouraging to everyone as most of us were all newbies. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to try something new and get out of their comfort zone. I will say it is quite the workout to paddle out to the waves and does get exhausting. If you are aren’t in decent physical shape and very comfortable around the ocean I would caution you for safety to make sure this is something you are comfortable doing. It was a blast and I can’t wait to go back to Maui and try again!

We had a wonderful experience with John who led us on the road to Hana! We are a big family of 7, so having a private car made the journey comfortable and enjoyable. Mario was very patient with my two kids who had their very first surfing lesson with him. He made the lesson easy to understand and fun! He made sure they understood all of the safety aspects before letting them get out on the waves. In particular, Mario was very kind to my daughter who was really scared to get out there. They had a blast!

Connor and Azure were fantastic instructors. They were so good with our 2 kids. In our first lesson, all of us were on our feet shredding waves. We even learned new Maui slang words like "crip" and "cherry"! They provided insights into how the waves of the ocean work and how to properly ride them. We had such a great first lesson we rebooked for later in our trip. We are hoping to come back to Maui soon and continue learning how to surf!
