Went with my 7 year old and neither of us is advanced swimmer or snorkeler, but the staff took good care of us throughout the tour. We spotted mantas two minutes into the water and they stayed around the whole time. The tour was well organized and they provided everything you’d need. Just bring yourself, plus a towel and a waterproof camera, and have a good time!

My son and I had such a wonderful time on this trip. Riding the fast zodiac boat was exciting and my 10-year-old absolutely loved it. Right at the start we spotted a family of dolphins, and then again at the end – such a special moment! The crew was incredibly friendly, warm, and entertaining, and we felt really well looked after the whole time. Everything ran smoothly and in a relaxed way. Small group, no stress, no crowds – just a beautiful, easygoing experience on the ocean. Highly recommend! Mahalo! 🐬

My wife and I can honestly say that this was one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had. The staff was highly professional and communicative, both in and out of the water. Riley - our in-water staff - answered a ton of my questions and was always educating us on the Mantas. The Mantas themselves were awe-inspiring, and it is something we will never forget. If you can put this in your travel plans you won't be disappointed!!!

I brought my 3 y/o with me, who was nervous about swimming in the ocean, but all the staff were so friendly and the boat was so comfortable he was ready to jump right in at snorkle time! Wow! I can’t say enough about our experience with Sam, Brianna, and Cliff. Sam selected the perfect snorkeling spots, and Brianna was our own personal guide in the water, with a wide range of knowledge, while taking video. Cliff took some amazing photos of this truly personal experience. We loved the crew so much it felt like we were hanging out with friends. They have a top of the line boat and provide everything that you need. Much better than snorkeling with a large tour group of strangers.

We went on this Kayak/Snorkel tour of Kealakekua Bay with Kona Boys years ago & loved it so much that we went again on this trip and took our kids with us. It's seriously one of the very best experiences we've had on the Big Island & the best snorkeling we've done anywhere so far.We were given a warm welcome & great instruction before heading down to the bay. At the bay, Evan was our guide...and he was excellent! He was friendly, gave great instruction, and made us all feel comfortable.Don't miss this one...and definitely book it with the Kona Boys...they are the BEST!

Fantastic Outrigger Canoe Adventure
We participated in the outrigger canoe snorkeling trip. It was fantastic. Mal was an excellent guide and very personable. We initially were scheduled for one day but the company called to reschedule us to come a day early so that we could avoid bad weather. Thankfully we could make that work. Parking was a little confusing, but there ended up being enough street parking. During the canoe trip we got to snorkel with some manta rays and saw a lot of different fish. It was great being in a small group (no more than 8) of people for the snorkeling. The French couple we were with were very pleasant. Ehu and Kai provide life jackets for children and noodles for everyone while snorkeling. My septuagenarian father and 7-year-old daughter decided to stop snorkeling early and Mal showed them around Kealakekua Bay in the canoe. Ehu and Kai also provided snacks and drinks. This was one of our favorite events during our whole trip and was such a unique activity! I highly recommend.
