The Kona Cloud Forest tour was the highlight of my entire Norwegian cruise of all the Hawaiian Islands. I quickly realized I was walking through an undisturbed rain forest and began to understand the special, unique connection of these living organisms. It really was an ethereal, other worldly experience.

Sash ( May spelled her name wrong) was a great tour guide. I learned a lot from her. There is one complaint: on May 11, I noticed the same tour price was dropped about ~$100 compared to I booked price on Cool Hawaii website. Unfortunately there’s no one to pick up the phone from Cool Hawaii when I tried to get a refund.

We had a wonderful day on our private tour of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park from our cruise ship, thanks to Katelynn! From start to finish, everything was smooth, well organized, and stress-free. Katelynn was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable. She answered all of our questions with patience and shared so much interesting information about the volcanoes, the island, and the local history. The scenery was absolutely incredible, and having a private tour allowed us to explore at a comfortable pace without feeling rushed. Katelynn made sure we saw all the highlights while also tailoring the experience to our interests. Dave was an amazing tour guide. He was super knowledgeable and was willing to customize the tour to match our needs. We were lucky to see many turtles and the Cloud Forest was a spiritual journey. Our guide Anna was well versed in Hawaiian nature and made the experience of a forest interactive. The coffee farm was scenic and we got to pick some fruit!

Don our guide, was very down to earth, friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. He showed us many of the fabulous tourist highlights (Rainbow Falls, Hawaiian Volcanos National Park, Banyan Drive, Hilo, etc.). Which we really enjoyed. However, what we enjoyed the most was how Don provided us with the local perspective on the history, culture, people, native animals and plants. He also took time to give us access to the local cuisine (I loved the poi), shopping and people. We really appreciate how he seeks to develop an authentic relationship with you. We highly recommend this great experience!
