Seeing the volcano was the main event, but the Queen Liluokalani Gardens were beautiful. The Rainbow Waterfall was one of the more memorable falls on my trip. I learned a lot about volcanoes from Kemo. He was the best!

The whole experience was amazing! It was an all day outing and hit all the highlights of the big island. The size of our group was perfect, 7 of us. Our tour guide Leon was also amazing! He was very informative, knowledgeable and funny! He welcomed us as Ohana and made the experience a truly memorable and enjoyable experience! I would definitely do it again!!

We travel quite a bit, and this was one of the very best tours we have been on. We went not only to volcanoes national Park, but to the waterfall tour and historic downtown Hilo but what made the trip the most enjoyable was our tour guide Kimo. He was extremely knowledgeable and very, very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend him for any tour.

We booked a trip around the island for Sept 8. through Cool Hawaii/Cool Hawaii with only 24 hours notice. We received a call 1 hour prior to departure from the operating company KapohoKine Adventures. It seems there was an error in the reservation.The disappointment was short lived as KapohoKine Adventures stepped up and sent guide MAC HUGHES in a van and we were on our way.We were thrilled with his knowledge of the island, its history, native plants and animals. We will return and book with KapohaKine Adventures again!!

We had the best time! Dan was an amazing tour guide! The guy literally knows everything about everything and is super friendly. He stopped at a roadside fruit vendor and purchased numerous different fruits for us to try. He was super accommodating for our 16 month old.

One of my top cycling experiences
We did the Anna Ranch tour yesterday and had a great time. We're both advanced cyclist so to ride with an experienced guide who knows cycling and the history of the ranch and the island, was an awesome experience. Thomas was great. He showed us water falls, hiking trails, talked history and cycling as a sport. If you're on the Big Island and you dig everything I just mentioned, this should be on your itinerary.

What outstanding experience my wife and I enjoyed with Kona Coast private helicopter tours this afternoon.Our pilot, Sam, was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We really enjoyed the time spent with him. We felt very safe and comfortable with him at the controls.What we enjoyed most about our experience was how simple it was to make the reservation, how easy it was to find their office at the airport, and how fun it was to go for a 30 minute helicopter to along the Kona coastline.In addition, this is one of the most affordable helicopter tours we could find. They use a smaller Robinson helicopter that holds the pilot in three people so it’s just you and your significant other. You don’t have to worry about sharing the trip with strangers.In addition, I am 250 pounds and many of the other helicopter tours have a cut off at that weight limit and require you to purchase a second “comfort” seat. This company sets their limited 275 pounds which made it a no-brainer for us.So if you want to go see majestic volcanoes and breathtaking waterfalls at a price that will set you back significantly, this is not the outfit to choose.However, if you just wanna go on an enjoyable helicopter ride and look at the breathtaking coastline of this part of the big end of Hawaii and affordable price than this is the company you want to choose.30 minutes was just right, the price was just right, the scenery was memorable and breathtaking, and we felt very safe and secure every second we were on board this aircraft.

It was very exciting. The guides were very knowledgeable and have a lot of rock climbing experience. The made the experience feel fun and safe. My sister and I have very little experience and my brother is an experienced rock climber and it was fun for all levels. The waterfall was beautiful and it was a very unique experience. Highly recommend.

We had an outstanding experience on the Hilo Big Island Volcano Day Tour on July 23, 2026, with Tournet Hawaii, Inc., booked through Cool Hawaii. Our guide, Sean, was absolutely exceptional. His knowledge of Hawaii was remarkable—from its rich history and unique culture to the native plants, geology, and volcanic landscapes. Every stop was filled with fascinating information that made the island come alive. Sean kept the tour perfectly on schedule while still allowing everyone enough time to enjoy each destination. His restaurant recommendation was fantastic and turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip. Throughout the day, he was friendly, engaging, and made a genuine effort to connect with every guest, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. If you're considering this tour, I sincerely hope you get Sean as your guide.
