We had a rainy day with the approaching storm, however we were pleased the tour still was operating despite hearing that other tours were cancelled. Donna was fantastic tour guide, providing us history tidbits about the island and the various stops. We even had time for a bonus stop at Big Island Candies. We didn’t do a stop at the black sand beaches but we didn’t really feel like we missed anything. Tour was actually 24 people despite being advertised as 12 max, however that didnt impact our ability to enjoy the trip. The stop at macadamia nut farm was cool to be able to see the trees and the lunch was delicious.

We booked this tour last minute when our cruise ship tour was cancelled due to an approaching storm. We were extremely pleased to meet Justin and spend a fun and entertaining day with his group. Despite difficult weather conditions, he put together many local sights with expert commentary. His warmth and enthusiasm made the day very memorable.

That’s definitely the experience that is worth the visit. The experience is the same like the other companies, just better price. The crew was awesome, Trevor and the other two guys had a great sense of humor and were pretty helpful of giving us more info about the island and everything we should know.

Perfect experience!
We took an 8 hour private tour for 5 people to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We were lucky enough to have two guides. Derek and Chris. They were both very knowledgeable about the volcanoes, coffee farm, turtles, lava tubes and Hilo. They were very cognizant of our comfort and areas of interest. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Derek even surprised my friend with a cake. A perfect day!!!!

We booked this for my birthday and it was one I won’t forget ! Bailey and the captain were very friendly and welcoming . We did see a manta and sharks which was a plus. The crew was very knowledgeable and very safety first . I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

One of the top experiences we wanted to do on our trip was to go snorkeling. We had a party of 7 and chose to go on a 2 pm start time. The staff was pretty friendly. We got to see some dolphins on our ride to the snorkeling area. The boat ride was pretty short and we had a lovely view. As we were snorkeling our guides were very attentive to make sure we didn't need help with mask or any other problems. The water was so clear and we got to see lots of different types of fish. I wish we had a go pro to take pictures underwater. One of the family was timid on joining us in the water as this was their first time. One of the guides was able to ease their mind and they soon joined in as well. Overall I would book again given the chance.

Justin was an awesome guide, very entertaining with all kinds of stories but also full of information about all aspects of the area. I liked seeing so many places since we were only in Hilo for a day. There was just the right amount of time in each location. I learned from him that my birthstone Peridot is the mineral that gives green sand beaches their color. I enjoyed learning that since I’ve always thought it was a kind of an uninteresting birthstone. I highly recommend Justin’s tour.
