Raymond Georges was an excellent tour guide. Not only was he very knowledgeable of his homeland, but his love of the Islands and his family (O'hana) immersed us into his world. He arranged our tour according to what we requested, but we also trusted his judgment to take us to places he knew visitors would want to experience. We felt very safe with his driving. And we appreciated that he had local bottled water and snacks available.On Maui & Kauai we rented a vehicle since we had 2 days, but with Kona (and Hilo) I totally recommend using Hawaii Island Insider Tours instead because it was so very EASY!! We didn't have to Uber to the airport and go thru the hassle of getting a rental. Instead we just got off the tender boat (or ship in Hilo) and there he was...waiting for us with a big smile. We just hopped in his vehicle and off we went to explore Kona! It was a perfect day!

We had an outstanding experience on the Hilo Big Island Volcano Day Tour on July 23, 2026, with Tournet Hawaii, Inc., booked through Cool Hawaii. Our guide, Sean, was absolutely exceptional. His knowledge of Hawaii was remarkable—from its rich history and unique culture to the native plants, geology, and volcanic landscapes. Every stop was filled with fascinating information that made the island come alive. Sean kept the tour perfectly on schedule while still allowing everyone enough time to enjoy each destination. His restaurant recommendation was fantastic and turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip. Throughout the day, he was friendly, engaging, and made a genuine effort to connect with every guest, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. If you're considering this tour, I sincerely hope you get Sean as your guide. His professionalism, passion for Hawaii, and dedication to providing an unforgettable experience truly went above and beyond. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the volcanic landscape, the geology, the history, and the unique plants and wildlife we encountered—and she shared it all with such genuine warmth and enthusiasm. The e-bikes made the terrain accessible and fun, and Jade's attentiveness to our group meant we felt safe and supported the entire time. What really stood out was how much she clearly cares about sharing the magic of the park with visitors. We had such a wonderful time pedaling through lava fields and native forests with her guidance. If you're visiting the Big Island, this tour with Jade is an absolute must-do. Five stars, no question.

Such a wonderful trip we booked again! Boat is solid. I am sensitive to motion. I took 1 Bonine and had no problems. I honestly may have not needed it. Captain and staff were so knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the whales and Hawaii. The cruise was not only to see whales, but a beautiful view of the coast.

A great experience, a super exciting tour with a very personable and extremely well-trained guide who knew more than geologically, anthropologically and biologically. That hike on narrow advised and through lava channels was super exciting and boat significantly more than one is usually used to in the US with the cautious standards. I can really recommend this tour to anyone who is sure-footed. I myself am afraid of heights, but still managed to do it because our guide seemed so safe and so calming.
