We took an 8 hour private tour for 5 people to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We were lucky enough to have two guides. Derek and Chris. They were both very knowledgeable about the volcanoes, coffee farm, turtles, lava tubes and Hilo. They were very cognizant of our comfort and areas of interest. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Derek even surprised my friend with a cake. A perfect day!!!!

Worth Doing!
We thought the weather would affect our trip but it was perfect. We were above the clouds and the clouds just parted. The sunset on Mauna Kea was beautiful and stargazing was great even with a bit of a bright moon. James, our guide with Hawaiian Eyes tours arranged through Cool Hawaii, was top notch and fun to be with. He was extremely attentive to safety and knowledgeable about the stars and landscape. We are very grateful To our relatives who recommended this to us.

My first trip to the Big Island of Hawaii included two days of golf, one day touring the island around Kona, and one day dedicated to a sunset tour of Mauna Kea. 4,200m, higher than the summit of Mt. Fuji. Without any signs of altitude sickness, which I was a little worried about, I was mesmerized by the sight of the stars from the highest point of my life, forgetting the cold.

Nice relaxing and enjoyable tour. Stefan was so knowlegable and informative of the island. I learned so much and the scenery where we stopped was so beautiful. Well worth paying for a driver so you can enjoy yourself. Also breaking tour up into specialty area is the way to go. Not rushing around trying to see whole island in one day.

Extremely knowledgeable captain and guide. Our all female crew was so engaging and did a fantastic job explaining to us the Captain Cook story and pointing out anll of the incredible sea life. BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!! My boyfriend and I went out for the 7 am tour (HIGHLY recommend the early slot, we were literally the only people out on the water!!) with Hana and Meredith who were absolutely AMAZING!! Since we got out before all the other tours, we saw an eagle ray, a Galapagos shark, two octopi, AND A SEA TURYLE!! It was quite literally the most glorious day of my life and Hana and Meredith could not have been better guides. If/when we come back, we will most definitely be booking w Kona again!!🌸☀️💕

One of the best tours I have ever taken
One of the best tours that I have ever taken in all of my travels. Our driver was very knowledgeable, great stories and historical points. The hike was beautiful and rewarding. They worked with me on my last minute change to my pickup point without hassle. I definitely know who I am calling the next time I come to the biggest island in Hawaii.
