Dawn is an awesome guide. Promptly met us at 3 am at the designated spot, and gave an overview of what to expect. She knows the history and Hawaiian culture well. Not only she gave a good tour, she highlighted cultural significances, nuances etc. She patiently took our photographs, which came out really good. Would happily recommend the tour to anyone looking for something different.

The absolute best volcano tour.
Kalaninuimehamhea is a fantastic guide briming with local and cultural knowledge. He was full of stories of the local plants and wildlife and how the land at higher elevations came to be viewed as sacred. The tour started with a brief history of the islands peoples and how they came to be here, and progressed through to modern times ad the tour progressed. An absolutely gem of an experience and the highlight of my entire trip. If you have a curious and respectful mind and soul, you can't book a better tour.

We really enjoyed our one-day tour in Hilo. Ray (our tour guide) was very knowledgeable about the island and explained everything and answered every question. He also gave us plenty of time to explore each stop and offered snacks, drinks, etc. We were on the NCL cruise, and we got a much better deal with this tour. Highly recommended. Thanks!

Cannot say enough good things about this tour and guide, Rae. Truly had a wonderful time. Pick up and drop off were extremely easy, Rae was incredibly kind and accommodating. Adjusting our tour as needed/requested. Offering additional stops and scenic routes. He was so knowledgeable and had fun trivia with prizes, snacks and drinks for the kids and adults, and even offered use of his children’s car seats for our two little ones on the tour. Can’t recommend enough!

Wonderful Tour, Amazing host!
I can’t say enough good things about this tour! It was amazing and Igor was just wonderful. We have teenagers and they can be difficult to please at times. Igor was kind patient but more importantly took us to all these wonderful places around the Island. It’s a long day of traveling around the island but it’s well worth it. There are plenty of food stops along the way so don’t worry about that. Bring layers because climate changes rapidly. My girls loved Igor and we loved that he shared his favorite spots with us! Thank you for a memorable day!
