We had a great time with Captain Jacob and his crew, Noah and Vince. They were knowledgeable and engaging though the tour sharing a lot of great info about Manta Rays . We saw lots of mantas and other fish including black tip sharks! Highly recommend this excursion if you are visiting Kona!

Amazing manta ray night snorkeling experience! Deavon was our host and communication was great, with advance notice before we headed to the meeting area. We saw 3–4 manta rays swim just inches away from us. It was incredible to see these gentle giants up close! The crew was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and Greg did a great job educating us and answering our questions, making the experience truly unforgettable. Definitely worth the money! Tip: expect a possible delay in the start time, but they’ll let you know in advance, and definitely bring a waterproof phone case. From meeting time to the boat was about 45 mins. Then we spend 20-30 mins in the water.

Absolutely magical experience being mere inches away from Manta Rays! Cannot recommend Hawaii Marine Life Charters enough. Definitely encourage booking with them directly!! They were communicative, knowledgeable, and made our experience so fun. We loved the small group size that made the trip feel more intimate. The tour was exactly the right length and it was worth every cent! Captain Mitch & Bobby were excellent!! We felt so safe and taken care of and it was clear they went above and beyond to give us a wonderful experience, especially since the weather is unpredictable and the majestic Manta rays are wild animals! We saw SO many mantas - at one point I couldn’t even see the ocean floor there were so many in our life of sight. It was the highlight of our trip and one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. The hot chocolate and snacks on the boat ride home were the perfect way to end such a euphoric experience. To top it all off, we even got to take home photos and videos of the mantas swimming right up underneath us and barrel rolling - what a treat! Thank you so much!!!

​Seeing the manta rays up close was the highlight of our trip! Snorkeling Big Island is a wonderful family-owned company that keeps group sizes small, which made us feel so well cared for. ​Captain Dylan, Elion, and Billy were outstanding guides. Billy was incredible with my daughter—she was terrified at first, but his encouragement made her feel safe enough to enjoy it. The rays came so close, almost touching us! An unforgettable experience and a absolute must-do for anyone visiting!

Without a doubt, highly recommended. Everything very well organized and explained. They gave us an upgrade, I imagine due to their logistics. Captain Kai and Ally were super attentive at all times. Very beautiful views and two stops for snorkeling. Duration about 4 hours. We would definitely repeat with them. 100% reliable, booking and payment. Once you make the payment, they send you the email with all the information, meeting place, timings, etc. For those of us who wear prescription glasses and do not use contact lenses, they have also planned for that!! In fact, when I finished, I bought them; they worked great, as they offer several prescriptions. A 10/10 day, thank you very much!!

The boat ride was a little bumpy but really cool! We got real close to the edge of the island in a few different spots. The guides were knowledgeable about the island and the lore but also laid back and chill. We got almost an hour of snorkeling in and our overall group was about 10 people which was nice.

We actually had to reschedule and wound up going on the Captain cook tour instead. It was so fun and the crew was amazing! The dolphin watching and snorkeling were awesome! We had three kids (3.5 and 7) with us and they had a great time. Highly recommend!

Fun time, crew was great and very attentive. Snorkling was OK, saw plenty of fish, but not the best I have been to. We enjoyed listening to the history of the area and boat ride to and from.
