We had an excellent experience with Big Hawai’i Tours. Fred and Maryna were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable guides! Checking in on weather conditions to ensure the best views, and seeing so many beautiful places! We traveled very comfortably in their mini bus and they checked on us often to make sure we were comfortable or if anyone needed a bathroom break or a snack! I love supporting local businesses because they are the most invested in making sure you have a great experience or service and this held true with Big Hawai’i tours and at great prices too! Thanks for helping us make awesome memories in Hawaii and we will definitely book again when back on the Big Island 🌺🌴🌸 Trina Miller

This was a great experience and we had a wonderful time. They went OUT OF THEIR WAY to make sure we saw what we wanted and even took us to a slightly different spot when part of the volcano was clouded in. They even got us local treats to try.

As well as a stop at spectacular Rainbow falls, this tour took us the the part of the island where the 2018 lava flow carved its way through anything in front of it on its way to the sea. We also visited the island’s newest and spectacular black sand beach. Our tour guide Lori was a lovely woman who had lots of stories to tell about the island, including educating us on the Hawaiian language!

This self guided tour was everything! I loved that it gave us the option to choose our own adventures. If we passed something, the tour would recognize it and move on to the next thing. It was so nice to have something that linked directly to gps for us. When we lost internet connection in the rainforest, this tour got us through to the main road. The tour guide had an awesome voice too!

Great and efficient tour around Hilo!
I had such a great experience! The smaller group made it so much easier to see more places and explore the Big Island efficiently without feeling rushed. Rae was an amazing and incredibly knowledgeable guide who made the entire day fun and interesting. He kept us stocked with drinks and snacks throughout the day and even ended with a fun quiz to see what we remembered from everything we learned. I’d definitely recommend this over a large group tour if you really want to experience and learn about the Big Island!

Donna was a fantastic guide. She was informative and friendly. She guided us through all of Hilo and Volcanoes NP! Black sand beaches and Rainbow waterfall! Volcanos NP and lava tubes were awesome! 10 out of 10 would do again! Blew my expectations out of the water with her knowledge. She expertly navigated the tour with appropriately timed spots and plenty of flexibility

Perfect Day!
Our guide Mike was very knowledgeable as he was from Hawaii. It made the whole experience that much better. He had a very nice 15 passenger sprinter van which was very comfortable. All seats were full. We visited Volcano National park, turtles on the beach and waterfalls. Lunch was at this little island sandwich shop, out of the way, which was excellent! Then the farmers market for shaved ice! GREAT EXCURSION!
