The experience, and the crew in particular, were so on point that we ended up booking their manta ray night snorkel tour later that night, and we had already done a manta ray night snorkel tour with a different operator a few nights prior. The Captain Cook snorkel tour was so fun, super informative, and extremely well run. The boat we were on was small, fast, and nimble. Which is what you want. That means less time getting to the snorkeling and more time in the water. It also means less people in the tour. Which is a huge plus. Smaller tours are ALWAYS better. We saw tons of wildlife and learned a lot from the crew. If I remember correctly, the Captain was named Alexis and tour lead? (not sure what her title was) was named Caleigh. They were AMAZING. Crazy informative, super competent, funny, and overall really chill people that clearly love what they do and are seriously good at it. I've done about 15, mostly snorkel tours, across the Hawaiian islands and they were probably the best crew I've ever encountered. Can't recommend Hawaii Oceanic enough, ESPECIALLY CAPTAIN ALEXIS AND CALEIGH!!

We had a lite bit of anxiety about going; bit the experience was absolutely amazing! The guides, I think their names were Seth amd Addiie, were amazing. Very knowledgeable about the excursions. We had an absolutely amazing time. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time! Our guide Evan was informative, funny, and kept all of us interested in the history of Captain Cook! He had stories of all sorts and was enjoyable to hear about. We had a small group of six, which felt less like a tour and more like we had our own personal guide. Lunch was great as well!

We had a wonderful time with two snorkeling stops. We felt that we had plenty of time to snorkel at each. We also enjoyed our snorkel break when the captain took us on a sailing trip and we found dolphins. The continental breakfast and lunch (sandwich) was also quality. The bathroom on the boat was very clean and modern.

Captain Alexis and Guide Eliza are an excellent team. They explained the history of the Captain Cook area plus were well informed about the fish. They kept a watchful eye on all of us as we snorkeled, offering help if needed, They obviously love their jobs, making it enjoyable for all of us. I like the small boat experience. I was there to see the fish not party. Seeing the spinner dolphins were an added bonus. I highly recommend this company.

Amazing Midday Kayak Trip
My husband and I had another kayak tour booked for the morning that got cancelled at the last minute. We reached out to Kona Boys and fortunately secured a spot on their midday adventure. Wow are we glad that our original trip didn’t go as planned. We had an incredible time with Evan out on the open water! He shared so many great stories about Hawaiian history and the wildlife beneath the bay. The snorkeling was a once in a lifetime adventure we won’t soon forget.

A perfect snorkeling day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our snorkeling trip on the Fair Winds II. The crew was extremely helpful and attentive - but not overbearing. The day was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. The water and fish were perfect. On our way out, we saw spinner dolphins. And on our way back, we enjoyed a show from bottle nose dolphins. They seemed to be waiting just for us and performed flips and jumps before following in our wake for quite a while. It was an amazing day!

What an amazing day! My husband booked this for my birthday and we had the best time. Process was easy to book and get on the boat. Food was delicious! Great commentary on sites along the way. Beautiful reef to snorkel at with helpful guides for mask, fins, etc. Loved the whole day and experience!

The captain and her first mate were both wonderful! We were the first boat to the bay & we spent almost 90 minutes snorkeling. The fish & coral were beautiful. After we saw several spinner dolphins that wanted to show off, including a baby dolphin!

This was so fun snorkeling where the inspiration from “Finding Nemo” is from. Seeing the beautiful marine life and our captain was so informative and helpful. He made a few stops to tell us some history we even got to see the “Pele Goddess” that inspired Moana. They even had fresh pineapple it was delicious!

This was truly an amazing experience. Evan and Logan were incredible guides, provided detailed history and knowledge. The kayak over was absolutely beautiful and the snorkeling was really great (even though the visibility wasn't that perfect from the previous storm). Highly recommend!The only thing I would note is that they asked about dietary restrictions of which I have a gluten intolerance, I was given a garden salad for lunch and unfortunately the fork was accidentally forgotten. I would suggest in the future sourcing a lettuce wrap (if gluten free bread / wraps are unavailable) similar to the sandwiches so its a more on par experience considered it was included in the price.
