Amazing experience! 10/10! The views were pristine! So much fun to drive! Renting the slingshot was the highlight of our trip!

Excellent way to take the drive to Hana, handles better than most cars. Feeling of being full immersed with the rain forest and the road. Would recommend being prepared for any weather as it can change quickly.

Don’t rely on the gps as it did not work. There is also no cell service on most of the route. If I was going to do it again, I would print out my route including distance between points. It all worked out and was amazing, I just wish we had been more prepared.

The ride overall was very fun! For anyone going up the mountain, the rain was real intense and cloud cover makes it difficult to see. Dress in layers, wear long sleeves, have a rain coat, have some sort of eye protection for rain visibility. If you know how to drive a manual car ask for the manual slingshot. Manager was an awesome guy! Would do it again!

The slingshot rental to tour the island was the highlight of my trip!!! I experienced the island in the best way! I would definitely book it again!

Great EN breathtaking! We rented EN 2 slingshots for 8 hours and saved DE Road to Hana EN through the rough part and through the rainforest. Beautiful viewpoint EN and beautiful waterfalls!

Such a fun experience! We took the Slingshot to the top of Haleakala We ran into rain on the way back down and a bit in upcountry, but that made the experience all the more memorable. The only caveat I would give is that the GPS in the Slingshot isn't great. It had us turning on dead-end roads a couple of times, but if you have Waze or another app, you'll be fine.

We had a blast, these are very fun to drive and powerful. Jason got us all checked in and on our way, very friendly and helpful.

The staff at Aloha Motorsports Kīhei were SO friendly and helpful. They made our 24 hour rental time unpressured and enjoyable as we explored all on our own. The machines are easy to operate, comfortable to ride and a TON of fun!

Helpful service and advise. Great Experience! We rode up to Haleakala Volcano. The views are out of this world. Cruising in the Slingshot got a lot of attention from others at the various stops.

It was an exciting experience driving the slingshot up and down Haleakalā. It was amazing when the path started up the Volcano. The road directs you towards the clouds. Before you know it, you're going through and above it. The views are spectacular. The first 40 minutes of the drive get a little sweaty because it's warm at sea level. When you start the path up the volcano, the temperature drops 20 degrees, and the wind screams in your ear.Pro Tips: A LOT OF SUN PROTECTION. This car has no top so you are at the mercy of the sun. There is no escape. If you fall short in preparation, you will burn for it. I did it in a long sleeve and shorts. It was not adequate. A hat/visor and clothing covering your arms and legs is the best way since it is cold and windy at the top. You must apply sunscreen and re-apply often. The sun intensifies as you drive through the clouds. When you're at the rental and dressed based on this review, you will feel that you are overdressed and that it's hot. Congratulations, you arrived correct. Double-apply sunscreen before you drive off to all exposed body parts (don't forget the ears!). Reapply at the Welcome Center. Reapply at the summit. Reapply Reapply Reapply.It will get COLD. No matter how hot it is when you leave. It is much much colder once the elevation rises. If the cold doesn't get you, the chill will. Bring a sweater.Altitude sickness is real at above 10,000ft where the summit is. I didn't see any supplemental oxygen sold up there so be careful. I was okay, but my partner could only last about 30 minutes before the dizziness and nausea kicked in.

Calen and the whole experience of the slingshot and road to Hana( halfway) was epic! The energy and vibe was top notch. The slingshot was the perfect way to experience Maui for the day. Open road, no top and the Hawaii sun beaming. And the service from Calen was easy, fun, and gave you all the advice you needed. Experience the slingshot and Aloha Motorsports is a MUST! ROAD TO HANA - Maui’s number 1 tourism activity is something called “The Road To Hana” which is simply a 64 mile stretch of highway from Kahului to Hana on the island of Maui in Hawaii. The catch is, the speed limit varies from 5-15mph, it’s often 1 lane, and it winds through a tropical rainforest filled with dramatic, idealistic waterfalls. This nearly 100 year old road was built at a time way before tourism and widespread interest here. It’s easily one of the most dramatic, interesting and explorative drives in the nation. No wonder it has such a reputation.The drive itself is a full day adventure. Considering the scenery and this climate, I opted to rent a Slingshot for the day. This was an extremely good call! The company Aloha Motorsports had a fleet of all new top of the line 2022 Slingshot R models. Of course Jessica picked one that was turquoise.The north end of West Maui is where we began, which is not anywhere close to “The Road to Hana” but the driving conditions and road width were similar, as I would discover later. Many parts of this road were so narrow, the Slingshot took up the entire width. So you may think “what happens if another car is coming the other way?”. Great question! You figure it out. That’s it. One of you has to reverse and try not to fall into the ocean. I wish I wasn’t making that up.Once you get into the rainforest there is basically a waterfall around every corner. Some of them are famous and marked plainly on Google, some of them are on private property, and even others are just out to be found and not even marked on a map. As bustling with tourism as this place is, many parts of this drive were totally devoid of anyone at all. That was nice.I ended up getting brave and jumping into one of the waterfall lagoons. It was super cold, low visibility. The rocks were slimy, sharp…this was pretty dangerous as I was realizing. I didn’t get hurt, but as I was doing it I could see how this wouldn’t be an adventure for many.The waterfalls fascinated me of course, so I sent in my drone to get a better look. I’m so glad I did! What the drone revealed is that beyond what you can see from the ground are dozens MORE waterfalls that feed the one you can see. Imagine a endless chain of waterfalls feeding one another from on top of a mountain into the clouds. Some of the drone footage I captured shows waterfalls in areas that I couldn’t imagine would be accessible by foot. Just amazing. So much of those areas are raw, untouched and basically identical to how they’ve always been.This part of Maui receives 300” of rain a year! This is what powers the nonstop waterfalls. Remarkably Maui is so large that other parts of the same island receive very little rainfall at all. The amount of ecosystems here in a single place, I can’t get over how neat it is.Getting away from the resort areas and “out into nature” was a welcomed departure from the experience so far. I got sunburned, despite layering myself in 50SPF + 70SPF and reapplying every 2 hours, the sun here is relentless. Most of the route does not have cellphone signal either, which can be a pro or a con depending on your own preferences. Jessica refuses to stop being totally available for our clients needs and expectations no matter where we are. She was not thrilled about the lack of reception, but the saving grace there was that Texas is 5 hours ahead of us here, so right around the time we lost reception was “after business hours” anyways.This is a staggeringly beautiful place!

If you’re going to do the Road to Hana, it should be in a slingshot! The open air drive is amazing, and the drive in the slingshot just adds to the experience.

I rented a Polaris Slingshot for a trip out the Road to Hana and back. The very best way to travel that winding mountain road. The staff at Aloha Motorsports provided a quality ride for my trip. They were helpful setting up the navigation preset with weighpoints of things to see along the way. Great crew and a great trip!

Driving the slingshot was so much fun. The tour to the top of the volcano was pre-loaded in the gps and this was way better than being on a tour bus. Callan was polite and explained how everything worked. He even gave some great restaurant suggestions. It was well worth it.
