Despite booking on an extremely windy morning, Captain Justin and his excellent crew Emily, Kirstie, and Anna ensured every member of our party was welcome, safe, and card for. They accommodated our very strict vegan diet with grace and provided abundant food. The boat is extremely comfortable and steady, even in high winds. Justin is a gifted communicator and kept us up to date at all times. Most importantly, I observed the crew interacting personally with every member of every party in different ways, giving every person what they individually needed-encouragement, friendliness, instruction, a listening ear, or just a smile. They truly thought of everything. This was truly a top notch experience.

The crew on the Ali’i Nui was fantastic. They were informative, personable, and kind. They didn’t hesitate to help when needed. Instructions were clear and we spent an adequate amount of time in the water seeing plenty of fish and turtles! Service for drinks was quick, and the food was plentiful. I had a great experience!

We LOVED our day on Ali’i Nui catamaran. The snorkel trip to Molokini Crater was fabulous. Could see for 100ft clear water. All of staff were super friendly and helpful. Loved having a female captain. Jordan was awesome as was all of her crew. Food and drinks were great. We will definitely book with them again when we are in Maui.

Was weary of making the drive myself since I wanted to view the sites instead of worrying about the drive. So glad sister and I booked this trip with Local Maui Tours. Met easily with guide (I'm horrible with names, Callen sp?) at a safe location. He drove a clean and very comfortable Wagoner. Felt very comfortable with his driving especially with all the curves, bridges and having to stop for single lane sections in some areas. He was very thoughtful and brought a fresh coconut and mangoes for us to try along with extra water. Beautiful drive with what seemed like waterfalls around every curve. Had plenty of time to enjoy the stops along the way.

From the moment we stepped aboard, they were warm, friendly, upbeat, and genuinely excited to make sure we had an incredible experience. They made us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip while creating such a fun and relaxing atmosphere.They took us all the way over to Lanai and found crystal-clear water with amazing snorkeling conditions. We swam with sea turtles and saw countless beautiful tropical fish. We also rented two sea scooters, and they were worth every penny! Gliding effortlessly through the water was incredibly relaxing, so much fun, and allowed us to cover much more distance and see even more of the incredible marine life.If you’re looking for the best private or group snorkeling charter, look no further. Kaanapali Ocean Adventures is an absolute 10 out of 10. This experience will be one of the lasting highlights of our Maui vacation and a memory our family will treasure for a lifetime. We can’t recommend Captain Dan, Marissa, and their team highly enough!

Every interaction with Alii Nui staff during the booking process was excellent, a prime example of superior customer service. The sunset cruise for our family of 5 was to celebrate “Papa” on what would have been his 80th birthday. Despite some strong winds, Travis managed to navigate skillfully to calm waters, where we enjoyed reminiscing, relaxing, and a beautiful sunset. He and Pedro were respectful, caring, and fully attentive to all our needs. We all agreed it was a perfect birthday party for Papa. I highly recommend Alii Nui!

What a great day on the boat. Can’t say enough. We spent the day exploring several spots along the shoreline snorkeling and even jumping off Blackrock- what a thrill! The highlight was coming across a pod of spinner dolphins who surrounded the boat and put on quite a show for us. The boat was very well maintained. The crew was courteous and friendly. Certainly one of the best days of our trip. Bring your lunch to enjoy on the boat after one of the stops. Also be sure to ask if you have a credit to use at the general store. It provided a nice little snack after a long day in the sun. Gratuity was already included which was nice not to have to worry about that. Highly recommend Maui Nautical.
