We will never forget our day on the road to Hana with Patricia. We saw some breath taking sites. Patricia knew exactly where to stop and was extremely knowledgeable. We got many beautiful pictures and many cherished memories. Banana bread, coffee, ice cream and huli huli chicken were great! After a long day in the road to Hana we ventured up to the top of Haleakala. We had never seen a sunset as beautiful as that, it was almost spiritual. We spent 12 hours together and Patricia was amazingly patient, knowledgeable and charismatic. This was an amazing day. We highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Patricia.

If you’re going to surf Maui, you should definitely choose Zack Howards surf. Zack’s wife Sarah was our surf instructor. Completely fantastic woman with a lot of patience for us two new surfers. She was so good at telling us what to do and good at finding the right wave. If you could give 6 stars on Cool Hawaii I would have done this.

Gonzo provided extremely thorough instruction through the entire course. He stuck to his plan so that I could successfully complete each skill before moving onto the next…although I wanted to skip to the final step right away. It was super well planned out.

Organizing: Suzie answers the phone, is responsive on text, email etc. and provided a quick and easy painless process for organizing private lessons. I arranged it a couple weeks in advance and just connected with her when I arrived to check the conditions.Lessons: Gonzo was my instructor for all five days. (I had a lesson from another company two seasons ago and was not impressed - the instructor was pretty fast and loose with instruction and was more concerned about a tip then my progress.) Gonzo was exactly the opposite - very down to earth, cool guy and provided a good level of instruction the entire time. The conditions at kite beach are quite a bit different than I am used to in the bay area and he was able to adjust his instruction greatly to the conditions and my progress. I have about as long of a learning curve as anyone I know, and he got from my current point to riding consistently upwind. I highly recommend this company, and Gonzo in particular, although the other instructors at the truck seemed equally helpful.

From the moment Patricia picked us up at the hotel, every detail was meticulously planned. She shared her knowledge of Maui, Hawaii and Haleakala with us and made the trip thoroughly entertaining. She provided extra service accommodating our requests and even found the perfect “hidden spot” to watch the Sunset. I cannot recommend this trip more! It was the definition of a 5-Star experience.

So much fun!
We had a group of 9, ages 7-70 and everyone had a blast. We saw lots of whales, got soaked and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Captain Dan was very knowledgeable and made us feel extremely safe going over all of the information about the boat before the trip. Would definitely do this again during whale season.

This jet boat is powered by two 325 hp engines, and the boat moves, it spins, and guests get wet. It goes up and down the West Maui coast, whales, porpoises, and turtles can be seen on some trips. Perhaps there was too much spinning for my taste.

I agree with previous review that it's fun and informative ...but it's mostly fun!We had a great time. Dan is relaxed and shared a lot of his knowlege of the islands... provided great info for arrival etc., and reviewed safety information. The ride wet and high speed, as he promised. They showed us areas to snorkel that we could go to independently and gave us some history of various areas and pointed out interesting places. Overall it was a great experience but if a bumpy ride without cushioning will hurt your back, you better skip it!
