I highly recommend the kayak/snorkel trip. Our guide, Kolo, was wonderful and easily handled the 6 people on our trip, including one couple who were first-time paddlers. After the paddle downriver, we had fun snorkeling. We were there after rainstorms, so the water was not as clear as it could have been. But we saw a very large honu (green sea turtle) and several varieties of fish. Kolo played ukulele and talked story as we enjoyed our snacks. He spoke about Kauai's history and culture. He inspired me to learn more, and I've been taking 'ōlelo Hawai'i on Duolingo to improve my understanding and pronunciation of the language. Mahalo, Kayak Hanalei.

My kids and grandkids took this tour and absolutely loved it and would do it again. They were thrilled with the helpful guide and thoroughly enjoyed the Kayaking experience.Their favorite part was the snorkeling and seeing so many fish. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shasta and this family owned tour company. This was truly a top notch experience from beginning to end.Shasta is a local, and that made our tour feel so much more special. She shared beautiful places around Kauaʻi that felt like the kinds of places only locals would know. We weren’t simply sightseeing. We felt like we were getting to experience the island through someone who genuinely loves it and knows it so well.One of our stops was the beautiful Wailua Falls, and if you have the opportunity while you’re there, I hope you also get to meet Makepa B, the Lauhala Man. He was such a special person to meet and talk with and added another wonderful memory to our day. I thoroughly recommend taking the time to visit with him. You can also purchase a beautiful handmade keepsake to bring home, which makes the experience even more special.Shasta also took us to a wonderful local spot where we enjoyed fresh sugar cane and smoothies made with incredibly fresh ingredients. These little local experiences were some of my favorite parts of the day because they made the tour feel so authentic. It felt like we were getting a glimpse of the real Kauaʻi rather than just visiting the usual tourist stops.Because this was a small group island waterfall tour, we received such wonderful personal attention. Shasta was lovely, knowledgeable, fun, and incredibly helpful. We all had such a great time with her.What impressed me even more was how much she genuinely cared about us. I needed to get to the airport on time after the tour, and Shasta went out of her way to make sure I got there, personally dropping me off. That kind of kindness and customer service is something you don’t forget.Between the waterfalls, the beautiful scenery, the local experiences, and Shasta’s personal attention, this was such a special way to experience Kauaʻi. I would 100% recommend this family owned company and Shasta to anyone visiting the island.We had so much fun, made some wonderful memories, and I would book this tour again without hesitation! 🌺🌴

My husband and I saw so many tour groups in trolleys and busses going through this island. We did our own driving tour and took our time…so much better! The history was very interesting. It was nice to be able to replay things we might have missed hearing. Don’t you hate when your guides sound muffled on busses? Not this time! It was so clear and informative. Absolutely recommend. If you download this before your visit, you can plan your days around the tour. Stop at places you find interesting or skip the things that sound “meh”.

A Magical Way To Spend Your Morning or Day
Kayaking up the Wailua River was a magical experience. The river is so serene, and filled with beautiful hibiscus flowers. It’s like a scene from a dream. The hike to the waterfall is a bit intense (mud, slippery rocks, fallen trees) but with the right footwear (reef shoes are ideal) and some patience it is a very rewarding hike. The waterfall is beautiful! We jumped in and swam under the fall, very refreshing. The lunch was delicious, especially after all the activities. The sandwiches and fresh pineapple really hit the spot. Our guide, Thomas, was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, sharing with us secrets of the forest. I would suggest going with the earlier morning tours, as it begins to get very hot in the afternoon. An overall beautiful time, highly recommend!

Exceptional Family Trip!
Capt Greg and Caleb were excellent! We had 21 in our family so we chartered Capt Greg for the morning trip. Greg shared all the history of the Napali Coast as we made our way along the coast. Finished the trip snorkeling on the reef and saw lots of fish, turtles, and dolphins with their calves. Very reasonable pricing for this exceptional trip! Thank you Greg and Caleb.
