Kauai Brunch Cruises

This was our 4th trip over the years with Holoholo and we enjoyed the trip. The weather impacted our ability to travel to Ni’ihau, so we were able to travel farther up the Na Pali coast; we were given a 20 % discount upon our return due to the travel adjustments. The weather was windy and the ride was choppy heading into the wind but smooth coming back down with the wind. We saw several pods of spinning dolphins. Drew was our captain and did a great job describing the scenery. Noah was excellent at making sure everyone was waited on. Lexi and Kamala also provided good service.

This was an adventure that was well prepared for with a crew that was in sync with each other and the guests. This full-day on the water is not for everyone but those that can handle the potential rough waters to get to the amazing snorkeling spot at Nihau. The boat made the trip fun and enjoyable - I would not want to be in one of those rubber boats on these seas. We spent an hour snorkeling and another hour admiring the Napali Coastline. There's covered and uncovered areas to sit and the crew is incredibly helpful to each and every guest. I especially liked how the crew proactively took pictures of the guests along the Napali Coast - they were great. Highly reco Holoholo Charters and this trip if you want something you will never forget.

We chose the Niʻihau & Nāpali Snorkel Expedition because we had never been to Ni'ihau. It was totally worth the time and the money over a Napali-only tour. The boat is a little smaller than some of the others and a lot more powerful. It needs to be because we crossed the channel from Kauai to Ni'ihau in addition to cruising up and down the Na Pali coast. The snorkeling was fantastic - the best I've seen in the islands. A large, healthy coral reef covered with fish, and a curious Monk seal swimming around. The crew were all friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The captain, Nate, was informative without talking too much. Be aware though that the tour goes out to sea. The waves are much bigger than those near the coast that you experience on a Na Pali tour, and a few of our group got sea sick. There is lots of spray - you'll get wet unless you ride in the cabin, and that's where you're more likely to get sea sick... So, its an adventure, and a good one!

Amazing tour. The crew Lexie, (Tamalo(?) and co. were very nice and attentive. Nate the captain did an impressive job of maneuvering the boat while providing uss with a commentary on history and legends. The snorkeling was very good. The tour of the Na'Pali Coast is as gorgeous as advertised. As a bonus we went to an area where a pod of spinning dolphins, adults, teenagers, and babies came to play around with the boat for quite a while. We were 3 adults and loved it. Warning: take your Dramamine with you, even if you don't usually get seasick. This boat goes fast!

Outstanding day on the water. This was the best snorkeling every one of us have experience. Captain Drew, kalama. Olivia and the final crew member were absolutely wonderful. So attentive and the bonus trip up the coast was so worth it. We have picture and memories to last a lifetime. Who can say they drove a boat through a waterfall and saw reef sharks, monk seals, goats and spinner dolphins...just to mention a few... all in one trip?! Very appreciative of the moments and memories that will last a lifetime!!! Highly recommend to anyone considering this adventure!

Excellent experience! The Captain Max and crew were fantastic and the Na Pali tour was beautiful! The snorkeling was amazing and we were the only boat out there.

It is a long boat ride and totally fun if you like that sort of thing - we did and just had a blast being on the comfortable boat. The crew and food and seating were all excellent. I wish there was more snorkeling - we only had 45 minutes at Ni'ihau, but it was enjoyable snorkeling a deep area even though there were fewer fish than at most of the Kauai reefs. We did see a friendly monk seal and lots of dolphins as we approached and left the crater. We popped into all the usual spots along the NaPali coast, which I have done before but enjoyed again. Overall, we were very well taken care of and the other guests were lovely people.

Beautiful boat ride. Boat was in great condition, felt very comfortable and not overcrowded. Plenty of room to move about. Staff were wonderful. Music on boat was good. Food and drinks were great. Options for vegetarians. Really a great vibe and fun day. Best day in Kauai.

Great day out with an experienced, professional and friendly crew who accommodated all your tour needs. Seas are open water but you get to snorkel areas most will never see. The roller coaster swell was actually fun.Like the crew tells you, take motion sickness medication BEFORE, don’t wait, it’s too late. Our three teens didn’t fair too well, but you can only tell them so many times to look at the horizon, drink water and stay cool….Highly recommended.

We did this tour about 7 years ago and loved it so much that we had to do it again.

Captain Nate and crew gave us a once in a lifetime experience. Get a good night's sleep the night before because the Ni'ihau snorkel leaves out early and 7 hours is a long day! We had a great time snorkeling, then enjoyed the cruise along the Na Pali coast. The crew took the time to take some photos for us and we stood at the bow and enjoyed the ride for most of the cruise back to the harbor. The food and snacks included were filling and perfectly suited for this activity.

This was truly the highlight of our trip to Kauai, our 16th trip to Kauai. We had a group of 10 with a mix of family and friends and everyone, from first-time snorkelers to experienced ones, had an incredible time.We lucked out with perfect weather and unbelievably calm ocean conditions. Snorkeling between Lehua Crater and the “Forbidden Island” of Niihau was unforgettable. The water was the most amazing shade of blue, visibility was easily 75–100 feet, and swimming above the shelf where it drops hundreds of feet into the deep blue was absolutely breathtaking.After snorkeling, we cruised around Lehua Crater for incredible photo opportunities before heading to the Na Pali Coast. Seeing those cliffs up close from the water is something we’ll never forget.What really made this trip exceptional, though, was the crew. With only two crew members plus Captain Jess taking care of nearly 40 passengers, they somehow made everyone feel welcome and taken care of. They provided two great meals, helped everyone get fitted with snorkeling gear, collected everything afterward, answered questions, shared great conversation, and did it all with smiles while keeping everyone safe.The scenery was world-class, but the professionalism, friendliness, and hard work of Captain Jess and the crew made this a true 5-star experience. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Kauai without hesitation.

Right from the start, my boyfriend and I were treated with great hospitality by the front desk ladies. It was shortly followed by a well-informed and playful safety briefing done by Captain Nate. The breakfast served was stellar with a variety of very fresh fruit, an amazing coconut pastry, tasty scrambled eggs with veggies, & refreshments of a “morning soda,” tea, and coffee. The sandwich and pasta salad hit the spot for lunch too. Crew Member Olivia never allowed me to take any of my dirty dishes to the sink and nor did she let anyone else’s dirty dishes get taken to the sink by anyone but herself or by Crew Member Lexi! Once making it to Lehua Channel, Crew Member Kalama ensured our ocean safety by anchoring the boat to the morey and being our personal lifeguard in the water with us the entire duration of our snorkeling experience. Crew Member Nate did an outstanding job not just by serving all of our food and making all of the guests smile and laugh but also ensuring everyone was feeling okay amidst the rocking of the boat. While we adventured Na Pali Coast, Captain Nate gave a brief history of the sacred cliffs and also shared a couple mo’olelo which a was a very nice and necessary touch for our tour, right on! Last but not least, the cookies are a hit. Thank you, Holoholo and thank you to the entire crew for such an amazing and unforgettable experience!! 🫶🏻

Holoholo Charters was absolutely amazing. They made the experience to Niihau and around the na Pali cost unforgettable! They staff is so warm & accommodating as well as incredibly knowledgeable! I've lived in Hawaii 6 years and learned so much I've never known before being on their boat. The snorkel experience was fantastic, we saw a monk seal and so many dolphins on the way. Gorgeous clear water with so many beautiful fish. Cannot say enough good things about this company.

One of my favorite experiences in Kauai. The trip was fun and the snorkeling around the crater was beyond description.

Amazing time! The captain provided history/information about the areas we stopped at. He made the mandatory briefings entertaining. The crew was very accommodating and friendly. The check-in process was smooth. The breakfast was great. The lunch was okay (Costco lunchmeat/pasta salad). The homemade coconut cookie was delicious! Open bar after snorkeling and plenty of nonalcoholic drinks too! The snorkeling was amazing! We had about an hour in the water, and were able to see many fish and even a monk seal! The spinner dolphins were putting on a show for us!! The captain said the weather couldn't be any better! Highly recommend this company and tour!
