We first did the Manta Ray night snorkel with this charter and loved it so much we booked a Dolphin Watching and 2 reef snorkel. It was just us 5 so we had a great time and Brian was very knowledgeable. We would have had a great time even if the boat was full which held 10 guests. The 2 reefs were excellent. The boating community is very close and help each other out. We were next to a scuba charter and they told Brian which reefs were good that day. Brian told us about the different types of dolphins and we saw a large group of dolphins with babies! They were jumping and spinning. It was amazing.

A great experience, the snorkeling was amazing! We saw alot of fish in clear water. The private charter experience was incredible Kelau the captain was very informative, knowledgeable and a gentleman, made my wife, 2 sons and 2 daughters completely comfortable. The information and history he gave us about the region was so interesting. A++ i would recommend this charter to anyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our private boat trip with Captain Chad’s Charters on the Big Island. These guys know their stuff! We snorkeled beautiful reefs, saw dolphins and turtles and loved the snacks, especially the fresh pineapple! We were very comfortable on the boat and we were able to choose our activities. We much preferred this trip to one of the more commercial snorkeling trips with lots of people and booze. This felt intimate and you can tell they really aim to please! Book with Captain Chad’s on your next visit to Hawaii- well worth every penny!

Great Experience!! Boat was clean, lots of shade if you wanted it and lots of deck space if you didn’t. Crew was amazing and knowledgable! Saw dolphins on the way to and from the bay and lots of beautiful fish while snorkeling. Complimentary snacks, soda, water and juice were plentiful! Cocktails for purchase after snorkeling were super yummy! Would definitely recommend!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful time. My kids loved the boat ride and snorkeling at Captain Cook bay. The captain was great. He told us a lot of history about the island and showed some caves and rock formations. It was truly a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it.

Our 6-hour charter with Ocean Kona Blue Boat Tours was the highlight of our Hawaii trip! Captain Kevin and Maddie were incredible—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring, especially when one of our boys got a little seasick. Every one of us caught fish, the snorkeling was fantastic, and Maddie even found beautiful shells for the kids to take home. Lunch was delicious, and we got to watch a pod of dolphins while we ate-so cool! Kevin was upfront about the rougher seas that morning and offered to refund the trip if we weren't comfortable sailing, but he made the entire experience safe and memorable. They truly treated us like family and gave us great recommendations for the rest of our time in Kona and on Maui. Our four boys are still talking about it!

My wife and I took the whale watching tour. We saw a bunch of whales and got some great pictures. Then they took us to see some amazing waterfalls and told us about the beautiful beach areas. The old sugar plantation, fallen arch, surf areas and the water break. Very entertaining guild and boat captain.

The captain and crew were obviously very experienced at finding and following the humpbacks. Also, whitecaps appeared suddenly, and I was impressed with the way he followed the whales and yet sliced through the waves at an optimum angle to minimize rocking.
