Dennis is one of my favorite yoga instructors! I’ve taken his classes at Waikiki Yoga Studio and always have such a great time. He’s knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and brings such positive energy to every class. He makes yoga feel both challenging and fun, and I always leave class feeling happier, stronger, and more relaxed.You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and loves what he does. If you’re in Waikiki, definitely take a class with Dennis — highly recommend!

I was looking for an outdoor yoga experience that I could drop into as I’m just visiting Waikiki for a week. The class was better than I could ever imagine! The instructor was extremely gracious, and the view was stunning. The sunset was like something I had never seen before. Yoga was in the park under the trees, and you could hear the waves crashing with your breath. It was very easy to book the class and their instructional videos about getting directions to find it were great. I highly recommend!

We are a skiing family of four that wanted to try surfing for the first time. Our instructor Josh was fantastic covering the basics of safety and making us feel comfortable in the water as we tried surfing for the first time on the north shore of Oahu. He took great care of each of us individually and provided excellent coaching and feedback in a positive way. I would definitely trust Josh and would recommend him all day long!

It was great- I was the only one in “class” so I got their undivided attention! We had so much fun! They even delivered my soaps and candles the next day to my hotel. I’d do it again if. One thing new in soap making comes up- loved this place and the workers like Kathleen and Jonathan. I felt like a friend by the time I left!

The class was great! Tried out a class with ClassPass and it was definitely worth it. It’s not what you would expect from a conventional yoga class. You do most movements sitting on a ball so you get to practice balance and strengthen your core while stretching and moving into different poses, there’s also straps (securely attached to the walls) and bars that give you extra stability.

I had such a fun experience at this soap-making class! The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the entire process, which made it even more enjoyable. I also loved getting to see the facility—it was clean, well-organized, and really added to the overall experience.The class itself was engaging and hands-on, and I had a great time creating my soaps. The only downside was that although you make a full tray of 12 soaps, you only get to keep 6. It would have been nice to take home everything we made.That said, the experience as a whole was absolutely worth it, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something fun and creative to do!

Ali is great.
Ali is great. I was super nervous about looking stupid doing my first surf lesson as a 37yo guy from the Midwest that had never thought about surfing until I booked my trip to Hawaii. Ali reached out before my lesson and made me feel like even if I couldn't catch a few waves during my lesson that it wasn't a big deal... which made it so much easier to actually do well. Once I got to my lesson she was direct and to the point on what I should do, even to the point that she told me "no, do it again like I told you" on the shore and after about 10 minutes on land she said "okay lets get in the water". I would have never believed i would catch my first two waves(forget the third and forth that I messed up because I wasn't doing what Ali said I should) even when I had poor technique Ali was kind,direct, and positive. Out of 12 waves I attempt in my lesson I am pretty sure I caught 8 of them. Ali is amazing. Btw apparently she also does hiking/rock climbing tours and after my experience with my surf lesson, I would go anywhere with Ali... because I know she has my back!!!

Yoga Bliss!!!
Island Flow Yoga was absolutely my best discovery on my recent visit to Kailua. First off, it’s literally: 1. YOGA 2. On a BEACH 3. At SUNRISE Those 3 things right there make it an amazing experience. But that said, Maria was my instructor and she was fantastic at providing the perfect blend of calm and peace with an early morning yoga flow. Not too fast, not too slow, just truly a beautiful way to start the day. Each day was different, from the weather and individuals on the beach, to the pacing and practice focus, but it was always extraordinary. Just as an example, on one morning we had the beach to ourselves and it was dark and blustery, then pouring rain, then dry and sunny with a full rainbow and a Disney explosion of birds bursting from under the rainbow. And all of that with Maria’s soothing voice and beautiful yoga practice, the sky exploding with color and the waves on the beach. Just magical! Do yourselves a favor and try Island Flow Yoga if you are in the area - and don’t worry about the weather, it’s all worth it! Namaste!

Best yoga class ever! If you’re staying at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki or nearby – just go! Sign up was a breeze @ waikikiyoga.com.I’ve practiced different kinds of yoga for over 30 years and was happily surprised at how awesome this class was. It was like a blend of various yoga styles and floor Pilates. We started on the big stability balls using straps to help balance. Can you say, “Fun!”? It is!! :D I’ve used stability balls a lot and straps a bit, but never together. The combination gives great control and the ability to get into deeper stretches. I liked having the straps in my hands while sitting on the ball because I felt like I could try things I normally would not try. Again, Super fun! Great core workout and stretching with support from balls and straps.Dennis is a magnificent master instructor. His voice guided me through the movements rather like a musical dance anticipating my ability (or lack of) and instructing me along the way. He is super patient and is a gifted teacher.I almost did not sign up because I have many injuries in various states of healing. Before the class, Dennis went over these with me. He did an amazing job of choosing stretches and strengthening moves to give a great workout without stressing my injuries. I so appreciate his ability to do this. It seemed effortless for him and definitely is a sign of a master yoga instructor. I haven’t had such a great workout without bad pain (think limping while walking afterward at a snail pace) in a long time. Thank you, Dennis!So, if you’re on the fence about taking the class because it seems intimidating – don’t be. Dennis will work with your ability, is gentle, and encouraging.You’ve gotta try yoga in this studio with the fun stability balls, support straps, and mirrors. Excellent yoga environment. The sound of the waterfall (inside the Hyatt atrium) blends with the yoga music giving the . perfect peaceful energy vibe.And, while I did this class, solo, it would be fantastic to do as a family. Dennis‘s ability to adapt to the needs of his students, his clear instruction, his humor (“let yourself hang out” when hanging over the strap) and his enthusiasm will provide your family with a fun and healthy experience. If I am back here with my kids, we will be signing up for a family session! What more can I say, just go! You’ll be glad you did! :D

I didn’t realize until after I booked this experience that it was so far away from my accommodation. In any case, I realized it wasn’t in my best interest to attend ( only for that reason) and the instructor I spoke with over the phone was very gracious and kind and allowed me to get a refund. Otherwise, I am sure it would have been a wonderful experience. I can tell that this organization is made up of persons with great character as a result of the way I was treated. Thank you.

I have taken two lessons from Magic Aloha and both were pop outs of my trips to Oahu. I had taken group lessons before which were fine, but this was personalized help from an expert. By the end, I was able to catch and ride a wave on my own. Surfing during sunrise at Waikiki is an experience I will never forget. Mahalo!
