We had an incredible time with Surf Yoga Maui and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to learn how to surf while having a fun, personalized experience!A huge shoutout to Eddie, my instructor, and Summer, who guided us through the booking process with ease! I came into the lesson with some concerns about surfing, and Eddie immediately made me feel comfortable while still challenging me—which was exactly what I wanted to get out of the experience. He brought a lighthearted, encouraging energy to the lesson, patient and approachable, and stayed right nearby the entire time to make sure I felt safe and supported. He also went above and beyond by offering to help my boyfriend, who had rented gear from Surf Yoga Maui as well for a very fair price. Eddie gave us some great local tips and recommendations for places to explore on the island, which was such a nice bonus!They also had a photographer there, which was a really nice surprise. The photos were such a great way to capture the experience, and appreciated there was no pressure when it came to purchasing them. Big shout out to Sean for capturing our day!A big thank you to Summer as well for making the booking process so easy. She was incredibly attentive and responsive, and even suggested moving my lesson to a different day because the surf conditions were expected to be better. I’m so glad we listened to her recommendation because the conditions ended up being amazing! The team also had surf booties, yoga pants for ladies and rash guards, to make for a warm and enjoyable surfing experience. Lots of nice little touches like this really go a long wayShout out to the **Surf Yoga Maui team** for such a memorable experience. From booking through to the lesson itself, everything was wonderful. Definitely book with Surf Yoga Maui—you won’t regret it!! 🌊🏄‍♀️🤙

Came back a second time for a group surf lesson prior to leaving Maui. The weather was not the most cooperative but Maui Surface Girls was very reasonable with their accommodations and allowed me attend part of 2 separate classes to make up for lost time. Even though I was booked as part of a group, Jedi took time to get me up on a couple of waves while the rest of the class finished their lesson. He also swam out to pull me into a shallower area after I drifted out deeper than I attended. Mario the photographer captured some great shots! Surfing was definitely a highlight of my Maui trip, thanks again Maui Surfer Girls!

Jedi was super supportive and got me up on the surfboard in no time. I honestly didn't think it was possible due to issues with my knees. He was very patient with me and cheered me on every step of the way. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much about the geography of the ocean, the etiquette of surfing and most especially the Zen of being at one with the ocean. Thank you, Jedi!

Excellent experience! From the moment we walked in the door the entire staff made us feel welcome! The instructors are amazing and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable before getting in the water. If you’re ever considering surf lessons we highly recommend going here! I have never surfed before and truly had a blast! Dan was a phenomenal instructor and helped me feel comfortable and confident on the water. By the end of the lesson, I was surfing slightly bigger and faster waves! Kiki the photographer also captured exceptional photos during the lessons. I tried surfing for the first time ever in Hawaii! I had such a blast in the group lesson and met a lot of nice people! The instructor’s Devon and Theo were very friendly and knowledgeable about surfing and they were very encouraging to everyone as most of us were all newbies. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to try something new and get out of their comfort zone. I will say it is quite the workout to paddle out to the waves and does get exhausting. If you are aren’t in decent physical shape and very comfortable around the ocean I would caution you for safety to make sure this is something you are comfortable doing. It was a blast and I can’t wait to go back to Maui and try again!

Positive experience all around. Easy and responsive booking. Clear instructions on where and how to meet. The coaches were friendly, outgoing, and experienced; showed effort in ensuring we had fun while also prioritizing safety. A great experience for my 16 year old daughter and 13 year old son. They had a great time pushing their limits of balance and coordination. They learned much and said their instructor taught well and was relatable. I would recommend Soul Surfing Maui to anyone looking to learn about the sport of surfing.

The instructors took exceptional care of our whole family, especially our two young kids, making everyone feel safe, confident, and supported every step of the way. As complete beginners, we appreciated their patience, encouragement, and personalized attention. By the end of the lesson, we were all standing up on our boards and having an amazing time. If you’ve ever wanted to try surfing as a family, this is the perfect place to start. They turned what could have been an intimidating experience into one of the highlights of our Maui vacation—and maybe the beginning of a lifelong passion!
