We booked months in advance. My wife’s birthday & we wanted to go to Hāna & see the sunset at Haleakala. We didn’t want to rent a car or drive it ourselves. Michael created a birthday tour for us and assigned Levi as our guide. Levi did a great job, took us to many of the waterfalls, introduced us to locals & local shops. We never felt like tourists, we felt like friends learning and seeing Hāna. Levi created a list of our must do items and started working through them. Great day, great weather & good night to the sun as it set behind the clouds from our vantage point on Haleakala.

Great experience!
Great 1st time trip for my boyfriend and I to the Road to Hāna. Aukai was our driver and guide and he was fantastic! He was very patient and knowledgeable about all things with Hāna and Maui. The lunch was really good and we had plenty of time at each stop. On the way back down we had some bad weather with rain and fog and Aukai drove like a pro and got us back safe and sound. In my opinion the price was far for the experience. I would definitely recommend doing the Road to Hāna with an experienced driver and not do it on your own.

Absolutely perfect...truly the only way to describe our full road to Hana day, with Derrick, and Maui Sunset Adventures. We were delayed getting into Maui by a day and a half, so our first full day on island was our Hana tour, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was. My husband, and three grown kids (25, 21, and 18) all had the best day. We saw all the "usual" spots, and a few off the beaten path ;). We got so many stories, and history lessons, and all around great conversation for the almost 12 hours we were with Derrick. BOOK THIS! Mahalo!

We did two tours with Vicente, and it were the best tour experiences we ever had.Vicente shared history, background information and fun facts during the tour with us. He showed us all kinds of flowers and plants while passing by on the road to Hana. He knows where are delicious lunch and dinner places. He is super professional, thoughtful in every way and a fantastic, versed driver. We felt welcomed, safe and in good hands all time.

Spencer was an awesome guide! Accommodated our requests and had great suggestions based on our likes! The sunset was unforgettable as he had the perfect spot to take us between the sun and the moon. We learned so much along the way and enjoyed every moment. And Miko the doggy passenger was just adorable! Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui! This was the perfect romantic sunset experience. The views were incredible. Vic is an amazing guide, I'd hire him for any type of Maui tour. A great and knowledge guide who got us in the absolute best spot to witness the sunset. He promptly answered any questions we had before the tour. We asked about what to wear in advanced and he provided us with hoodies and a warm blanket to watch a magical sunset. Vic took many photos throughout the experience for us so we could focus on watching the sunset with each other. Vic is an extremely good/safe driver. He knew so much about Maui. I'd book him again for any kind of tour on the island. I firmly believe this is the best Haleakala Private Sunset Tour you can book. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Maui. You'll remember it for the rest of your life.

The absolute highlight of a great Maui trip.
I have traveled many places with tour guides, NONE have been as good as Vic. I would consider booking him for anything on Maui. However, this tour was absolutely incredible. The tour was the number highlight of my girlfriend and I's trip to Maui. Before the tour, I inquired about what to wear as we did not pack anything for cold weather on Maui. Vic was ready with 2 hoodies and a warm blanket. The tour started with him picking us up at our hotel. Immediately he provided us with his mother's incredible homemade banana bread and offered us beverages. We then began the drive, throughout the drive he pointed out interesting things along the way. His driving was A+. Multiple times we got out and he took pictures for us at incredibly scenic spots. Eventually, Vic got us to the summit in a great parking spot. He then helped us to the perfect spot to view the sunset, protected from the wind by rocks. Again, he took more photos for us while we prepared to watch an incredible sunset. The view was unlike anything I'd seen before. Despite his excellent photography, I still felt compelled to snap a few pictures with my phone. As some groups started to leave, Vic said just wait because the colors are only going to get better. I am glad we did, photos do not do the sunset justice. The experience was absolutely magical. After all was said and done, I felt lucky to have booked with him. I truly believe this is the best sunset tour and guide you could possibly find on Maui. Anything we needed help with, he was able to assist. He has a great sense of humor and a perfect laid back vibe. More importantly, he is a good person. The next time I am fortunate enough to visit Maui, I will absolutely book with him/Aloha Wild Tours again. I cannot stress how great of a local guide Vic was. A couple days later, he sent us a video of different moments he recorded set to perfect music. I'll always treasure that video of my girlfriend and I from the sunset tour. If you book this tour, you will be treated with the best views of your life and learn a lot about Maui. It was more than just a tour, in the end we made a good friend while seeing the best sunset of our lives. If you are still reading this, stop and book your tour already. You will not regret it.

Picks you up right at the port! The sunrise was gorgeous! Crew brought fleece lined ponchos and ginger chews. Breakfast was at cafe o’lie tropical plantation - we had the macadamia pancakes - 10/10. Then dropped off at the port.

So worth getting up at 2 am for this excursion! Our guide was excellent and got us there an hour before sunrise so that we had a great viewing position. The pre-dawn moon and stars were beautiful. The sunrise was just spectacular. We had a delicious breakfast following our drive down the volcano. A great 6 hours. Should not be missed.

This tour was remarkable. Such beautiful sights to see and Im glad we left the driving to someone else. That windy road would have prevented me from seeing the sights and I wouldn't have been able to take my eyes off the road. Loved the waterfalls and rainbow eucalyptus trees. It was a log tour but worth every minute.

This was the most perfect combination of Haleakala and Road To Hana. Our tour guide Chad was AMAZING!! We could not have had a better time!!! Chad was friendly and knowledgeable. The trip was such a good experience for my 3 teenagers, my husband and myself. If there’s any question what tour to book for your family I’d do this tour 100x again!

A great tour with Chad!
We had an absolutely amazing day with Chad on the tour! He was very informative and made sure we were comfortable, had snacks and drinks and many restroom breaks throughout! We especially loved our stop at the Crater and the waterfalls were beautiful too. We were even lucky enough to be the only family on the tour and have a private experience! Highly recommend this trip, it’s once in a lifetime and you’ll be lucky if you get Chad as the tour guide.
