Alec was great! He took us on beautiful trails that we would have never found on our own - not crowded and very secluded! We were able to swim in waterfalls, hike through bamboo forest, had great local food along the way, and he was very attentive to what we wanted to do throughout our tour. If we said we wanted to do something - he knew a spot! This was our favorite experience of our trip to Maui. If you're thinking about doing a Road to Hana tour, book with Alec!!

Wonderful day! Glenn was a terrific tour guide. Knowledgeable and engaging. And many good snacks along the way. Word of advice…wear shoes you can go swimming in, not flip flops. Walking in the swim areas is rocky and hard to navigate if you don’t have the right shoes.

An unforgettable rainforest experience
We did the Road to Hana tour in September 2026 and it didn’t disappoint. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us plenty of time to explore the black sand beach, waterfalls, etc. The drive is super windy with some blind hairpin turns, so I definitely recommend a tour for your first experience. Since someone else was driving both my husband and I could enjoy the views. Our guide would also stop along the way briefly for pictures of breathtaking scenery and views throughout the trip.

Excellent Road to Hana experience
Alec gave us an awesome experience on our road to Hana trip. It was super nice to have such an experienced driver with lots of local knowledge so we could look out at everything without worrying about driving. We took a few small hikes that you would not know anything was there like the bamboo forest trail to a waterfall. He worked very hard to take some amazing photos of us from unique angles, and poses that will help us remember the day. He also had lots of knowledge of the plants to answer our questions. Overall an excellent experience and higly recommended.

This was amazing! Watching the sunrise above the clouds was so beautiful. Our driver was great and gave us a lot of information about the area. The bike ride was definitely a highlight for me. Riding through the beautiful scenery was something I will never forget.

Great experience!
Great 1st time trip for my boyfriend and I to the Road to Hāna. Aukai was our driver and guide and he was fantastic! He was very patient and knowledgeable about all things with Hāna and Maui. The lunch was really good and we had plenty of time at each stop. On the way back down we had some bad weather with rain and fog and Aukai drove like a pro and got us back safe and sound. In my opinion the price was far for the experience. I would definitely recommend doing the Road to Hāna with an experienced driver and not do it on your own.

Travis was an incredible tour guide. In addition to knowing the road and each of its attractions like the back of his hand, we learned he was a certified lifeguard when he heroically saved a drowning woman’s life at the waterfall we stopped to swim at. We’re so grateful to have had him as our tour guide, the experience wouldn’t have been the same without him! The continental breakfast and hot lunch both exceeded our expectations. We also had lots of great opportunities to purchase gifts and treats along the way. Finally, we were very appreciative of Travis’s driving, which completely minimized the discomfort of the many turns and single lane bridges on the road. This tour will always be of our favorite memories on Maui!! - Young D

This is a beautiful winding ride through the jungle. It is best to let someone local who knows the road do the driving so you can just enjoy the views of the flora, fauna and lovely waterfalls. Our driver Nick knew the best spots and was knowledgeable about all the places we were seeing. We would definitely do it again!

I cannot recommend this tour company enough, and if you have the opportunity to request Yvonne, absolutely do it!Yvonne gave us the most incredible private Road to Hana experience. She had so many interesting stories to share, knew so much about the island, and made the entire day feel personal, authentic, and completely different from a typical sightseeing tour.There are honestly so many special things about this tour that I don’t even want to share because I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprises for anyone else! One particularly meaningful moment was when Yvonne created a beautiful keepsake for me that I was able to bring home. It is something I will cherish forever and will always remind me of our day together.Yvonne didn’t just take us on a tour. She gave us a truly original experience and memories that I will treasure forever.This was a great, great tour and easily one of the highlights of my time in Hawaii.
