This is a beautiful winding ride through the jungle. It is best to let someone local who knows the road do the driving so you can just enjoy the views of the flora, fauna and lovely waterfalls. Our driver Nick knew the best spots and was knowledgeable about all the places we were seeing. We would definitely do it again!

From the moment we stepped aboard, they were warm, friendly, upbeat, and genuinely excited to make sure we had an incredible experience. They made us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip while creating such a fun and relaxing atmosphere.They took us all the way over to Lanai and found crystal-clear water with amazing snorkeling conditions. We swam with sea turtles and saw countless beautiful tropical fish. We also rented two sea scooters, and they were worth every penny! Gliding effortlessly through the water was incredibly relaxing, so much fun, and allowed us to cover much more distance and see even more of the incredible marine life.If you’re looking for the best private or group snorkeling charter, look no further. Kaanapali Ocean Adventures is an absolute 10 out of 10. This experience will be one of the lasting highlights of our Maui vacation and a memory our family will treasure for a lifetime. A stress free trip to Hāna and the backside.
My wife and I went on the road to Hāna ultimate trip which included returning via the backside. Eugene is a small business owner, who was great. He is extremely knowledgeable. The trip is customized to your likes and speed. You get to go to places that larger vans don’t go to. I’m glad I did not drive the roads myself. Lots of hairpin turns, single lane roads and bridges. You get to sit back and enjoy the scenery rather than focus on driving. Eugene knew that the backside road would be closed while they worked on shoring up the cliffs and that it wouldn’t open until the afternoon, so he planned the trip accordingly. A sign also said local traffic only.

Rob gave us an awesome experience on Maui. You can tell right away he really knows the island and enjoys showing people places they probably would never find on their own. The tour felt relaxed and personal, not rushed, and he made the whole day fun while still making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe.The waterfall spots were incredible — way more unique than the typical tourist stops — and hearing some local background about the areas made it even better. He also knows great snorkel spots and gives helpful tips if you’re newer to being in the water.If you want to see a different side of Maui and have someone easygoing and knowledgeable guiding you, I’d definitely recommend booking with Rob 10-10!

What a wonderful day. Colibri picked us up and off we went on a beautiful experience. The whole day was soft and focused on raising awareness and understanding the gratitude of being on Maui. Dragon's tooth was simply gorgeous and Colibri's singing and musical flute added a whole new dimension to the day. Highly recommend her! Ask for her so that you experience that magic.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Maui. The adventure began about 7 AM, on time, and we were shuttled to the boat in a small dinghy with the boarding of the small shuttle being an interesting and fun experience. The captain and crew provide everything that is needed to have a great time including snorkel and mask and fins. Wetsuit tops are available. Flotation devices were available if needed. In fact it is best not to bring too much equipment since boarding the dinghy may cause some of your belongings to get a bit wet. Willow, the captains mate, gave us a safety talk and off we went on our adventure to Lanai. The two dive spots were wonderful. We were able to do some spectacular whale watching on our way to the dive spots and on our return trip. We also watched a large family of spinner dolphins cavort off the coast of Lanai. Snacks and drinks were perfect. All in all this was a well run adventure and one of the high points of the trip was Willow with her bubbly personality and friendly demeanor. My spouse and I recommend this trip highly for both experienced snorkelers and beginners. At the end of the journey we left a well-deserved gratuity since we were so impressed with the entire operation. We are sure that, if you take this trip with Kaanapali ocean adventures, you will be thrilled with the entire experience just as we were. As a final note, the adventure begins early in the morning. There is parking available at every hotel that is free and is identified as “beach access parking“. There are only about 20 spots available at each hotel but, since the adventure begins so early in the morning, we had no trouble finding these free parking spots. If you park in the parking structure the cost of a days worth of parking is around $40. In addition, the organization will send a text the day before the trip to inform you of items you need to bring and specific instructions on where to meet.

Easily the highlight of our trip...
Our concierge recommended Epic for their waterfall tour and they handled our high energy kids (7 and 10) so well that we took their advise and did this Spiritual Adventure too. We got a discount because it was our second trip with them (love a good discount and helping a small business). Lorena was our guide and my words won't do it justice. I was blown away by her... just being around her made my whole family take pause and smile. Super kid friendly and they loved the fruit and homemade scrub. Such a calming and beautiful way to start our last day on Maui... Thank you Lorena. We will be back for more next year.
