The beautiful farm, delicious tastings and Candace and Clay's knowledge made this an amazing experience! We will definitely be adding this to our must do on Maui list.

It was excellent, our pilot was great and all went well with check in. The flight was great and felt very safe. Great photo ops.. the road down from Hana where we landed was an excellent experience. Scott our tour guide was great, knowledgeable, funny, polite , gave us great photo tips at almost every turn. I would specifically ask for him if you go, Scott F.

We had such a fantastic time on this trip. The waterfalls were mind blowing and Scott the driver did such a good job entertaining us on the way to Hana and took some amazing photos of us at all the famous stops along the way. The helicopter ride back was an added plus and made the trip magical.

This was the perfect romantic sunset experience. The views were incredible. Vic is an amazing guide, I'd hire him for any type of Maui tour. A great and knowledge guide who got us in the absolute best spot to witness the sunset. He promptly answered any questions we had before the tour. We asked about what to wear in advanced and he provided us with hoodies and a warm blanket to watch a magical sunset. Vic took many photos throughout the experience for us so we could focus on watching the sunset with each other. Vic is an extremely good/safe driver. He knew so much about Maui. I'd book him again for any kind of tour on the island. I firmly believe this is the best Haleakala Private Sunset Tour you can book. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Maui. You'll remember it for the rest of your life.

I have traveled many places with tour guides, NONE have been as good as Vic. I would consider booking him for anything on Maui. However, this tour was absolutely incredible. The tour was the number highlight of my girlfriend and I's trip to Maui. Before the tour, I inquired about what to wear as we did not pack anything for cold weather on Maui. Vic was ready with 2 hoodies and a warm blanket. The tour started with him picking us up at our hotel. Immediately he provided us with his mother's incredible homemade banana bread and offered us beverages. We then began the drive, throughout the drive he pointed out interesting things along the way. His driving was A+. Multiple times we got out and he took pictures for us at incredibly scenic spots. Eventually, Vic got us to the summit in a great parking spot. He then helped us to the perfect spot to view the sunset, protected from the wind by rocks. Again, he took more photos for us while we prepared to watch an incredible sunset. The view was unlike anything I'd seen before. Despite his excellent photography, I still felt compelled to snap a few pictures with my phone. As some groups started to leave, Vic said just wait because the colors are only going to get better. I am glad we did, photos do not do the sunset justice. The experience was absolutely magical. After all was said and done, I felt lucky to have booked with him. I truly believe this is the best sunset tour and guide you could possibly find on Maui. Anything we needed help with, he was able to assist. He has a great sense of humor and a perfect laid back vibe. More importantly, he is a good person. The next time I am fortunate enough to visit Maui, I will absolutely book with him/Aloha Wild Tours again. I cannot stress how great of a local guide Vic was. A couple days later, he sent us a video of different moments he recorded set to perfect music. I'll always treasure that video of my girlfriend and I from the sunset tour. If you book this tour, you will be treated with the best views of your life and learn a lot about Maui. It was more than just a tour, in the end we made a good friend while seeing the best sunset of our lives. If you are still reading this, stop and book your tour already. You will not regret it.

🚁🌈My husband completely surprised our family with a Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour.I had secretly been looking at all those spectacular aerial photographs and videos of Maui thinking, I would LOVE to do that.But I didn’t dare ask.Let’s face it—a helicopter tour isn’t exactly the inexpensive line item on a family vacation budget. 😂So when I discovered where we were going, I was thrilled.What followed turned into not only one of our favorite Maui adventures, but also an example of excellent customer service when travel plans don’t go perfectly.Safety Came FirstApparently, unbeknownst to me, my husband had already dealt with a few changes to our reservation.Our original morning flight was moved to the afternoon because of a safety check. Then Blue Hawaiian suggested changing our flight to another day when conditions were expected to provide better views.Was that inconvenient?Sure.You’re on vacation. You’ve planned your days. Nobody gets excited about rearranging reservations.But here’s something I appreciated:I want my helicopter company to be overly cautious.If there is a safety concern, check the helicopter.If conditions aren’t going to provide the experience we’re paying for, tell us.I’ll rearrange my vacation.Blue Hawaiian also did something they absolutely didn’t have to do. To help compensate for the changes, they upgraded our family to a longer and more exclusive flight and included the video package so we’d have a recording of our experience.That’s how you turn a potentially frustrating situation into excellent customer service.And Then We Met ChrisOur pilot, Chris, was wonderful.One thing I especially appreciated as a parent was that he didn’t talk around our children while entertaining the adults.He talked directly to them.He joked with them.He kept them involved.At the same time, he shared fascinating information about Maui’s geology, history and Hawaiian culture with all of us.It felt educational without ever feeling like a lecture.And then there were the rainbows.🌈 Six Rainbows?!At some point we started counting.I believe we saw six rainbows during our flight.And these weren’t the little partial rainbows you occasionally see from the ground.From the helicopter we could see incredible full-spectrum, full-arch rainbows.Naturally, this resulted in discussions with the kids about leprechauns and pots of gold, which Chris happily played along with. 😂Those are the silly little family moments you end up remembering years later.Maui Looks Completely Different From the AirThis was what surprised me most.You can drive Maui.You can hike Maui.You can swim and snorkel Maui.But you don’t fully appreciate the scale and geography of this island until you see it from above.Suddenly you’re looking into valleys you can’t reach by road, seeing waterfalls tucked into enormous green mountainsides, following ridgelines toward the ocean and understanding how volcanic activity shaped the island beneath you.Places we’d spent hours driving around suddenly made sense geographically.And photographs simply don’t capture the scale of it.Yes, It’s ExpensiveLet’s address the elephant in the helicopter.This is a splurge.For a family, particularly, the price can make you hesitate.Having now done it, though, I would make different spending choices elsewhere on the vacation to afford this experience.Skip a few expensive cocktails.Pack lunch one day instead of eating at another restaurant.Choose a couple fewer smaller paid attractions.Because personally, I’d rather put that money toward one extraordinary experience that my family will still be talking about years from now.And this was one of those experiences.🌺 Our Family TakeOverall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Scenery: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Customer service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Pilot/guide: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Kid engagement: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Value: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ 4/5 — expensive, but worth the splurge Memory factor: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+Would we do it again?Absolutely.If your Maui budget allows for one big-ticket experience, I would seriously consider making it a helicopter tour.And if your flight gets moved because of safety or weather conditions, don’t automatically view that as a negative.You’re about to climb into a helicopter and fly over mountains, valleys and the Pacific Ocean.You WANT the company willing to say, “Not today. Let’s give you a safer or better experience tomorrow.”For our family, Blue Hawaiian took what could have been a disappointing series of changes and turned it into one of the absolute highlights of our Maui vacation.And somewhere over Maui, apparently there are at least six pots of gold we still need to go back and find. 🌈😂🚁🚁 And We Actually Landed!One of the unexpected highlights was landing in the middle of this incredible green Maui landscape.There is something slightly surreal about stepping out of a helicopter, looking around at rolling green mountains, clouds hanging over the ridges and realizing, How in the world did we get here?It also gave us a chance to get out, stretch our legs, take family pictures with the helicopter and simply absorb where we were. That little break made the experience feel much more like an adventure than simply an aerial sightseeing tour.Then we climbed back aboard and headed into some of the most dramatic scenery of the flight—towering green mountains, waterfalls seemingly dropping straight out of the clouds, and rainbows appearing over the ocean.Those are views you simply cannot get from a rental car.

What a wonderful experience! We got to see so much and our driver Vicence (not sure of spelling) was so knowledgeable and accommodating. Our party of 4 all agreed that this was the best! One of our passengers was prone to car sickness and he acknowledged it and was very caring to their needs. This was by far one of our all time favorite excursions!!

Excellent way to take the drive to Hana, handles better than most cars. Feeling of being full immersed with the rain forest and the road. Would recommend being prepared for any weather as it can change quickly.

Note: departure at Honolulu Daniel K. Inouye International Airport restrooms are downstairs, inside accessible by elevator. One has to get to the airport on your own to Hawaiian Airlines for a.quick flight. I must state that Hawaiian Airlines provided excellent service for the handicap. Once at the airport Polynesia Adventures tour takes over and arranges everything. Once at the Kahulu Airport make your way to the designated stop where you will transfer at Safeway supermarket to your tour bus. Restroom outside at airport.. After a long drive up the mountain of Haleakala National Park to the Haleakala Volcano to see the2.5 mile crater from last eruption of 1790. Bus can only go as far as the visitor's center, a lookout and restroom break. Able body tourist can hike up to the summit. They are building wind turbines there. Cool temperatures and very windy. Twice the wind almost blew my wheelchair over the cliff. Then off to Iao Valley State Park tropical rainforest to hike through the Iao Ethnobotanic Garden. Loved it and its emphasis on Hawaiian crop production ancient farming technics. From there one walks across the bridge but the uphill climb is for able bodied only. View the roaring river. At Makawao our included lunch at Hali'maile General Store restaurant, a former merchandise store now a busy popular restaurant Official entrance upfront has many steps. Handicap entrance is on the parking lot side.Good service, I believe my server was the owner. I ate fish. You have to request salt and pepper. Nonalcoholic drinks included. Afterwards we toured the glassblowing demonstration and art gallery across the street. Loved it. Next door is the Hali'imaile Distillery for a tour and tasting with a small souvenir shoppe. This organic farm makes Pineapple vodka. Afterwards we visited the Maui Tropical Plantation in Wailuku. Love this place. Tropical orchards, fruit and vegetable market, gift shop with restaurant and shop in the back . Beautiful landscaped with electic art works of wood or metal. Restrooms way in the backyard. Wish we spent more time here. Wheelchair accessible. Then homeward bound to your hotel or to Kahulu Airport.

Nick was very knowledgeable and a safe driver. Even though that twin falls was closed, we got to see the other attraction. The tour was very enjoyable.

Don’t rely on the gps as it did not work. There is also no cell service on most of the route. If I was going to do it again, I would print out my route including distance between points. It all worked out and was amazing, I just wish we had been more prepared.
