Jedi was super supportive and got me up on the surfboard in no time. I honestly didn't think it was possible due to issues with my knees. He was very patient with me and cheered me on every step of the way. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much about the geography of the ocean, the etiquette of surfing and most especially the Zen of being at one with the ocean. Thank you, Jedi!

I have never surfed before and truly had a blast! Dan was a phenomenal instructor and helped me feel comfortable and confident on the water. By the end of the lesson, I was surfing slightly bigger and faster waves! Kiki the photographer also captured exceptional photos during the lessons. What a great experience. I co-ordinated with Ty who was friendly and helpful. Then my dives were with Austin. My first dive i was rusty as I had not been for a while, but it was a good experience as it was my child's intro dive. The second dive I was smooth again and what a magnificent dive. Dozens of turtles, stunning reef and endless variety of sea life. Austin is a cool guy and was calm, experienced and also helpful.Would recommend this outfit to anyone looking to dive in Maui. Would also recommend Maui!

Connor and Azure were fantastic instructors. They were so good with our 2 kids. In our first lesson, all of us were on our feet shredding waves. We even learned new Maui slang words like "crip" and "cherry"! They provided insights into how the waves of the ocean work and how to properly ride them. We had such a great first lesson we rebooked for later in our trip. We are hoping to come back to Maui soon and continue learning how to surf!

Windy weather messed with our scheduled lesson, but we managed to get three people foilboarding on a trip. What a blast! Steve, our instructor, was a professional parasailer in his previous life so he gives quick tips to help you get up on the board and enjoying your ride fast. My 15-year-old nephew deemed this the most fun he's ever had. He wanted to schedule another lesson for the next day. Steve is a joy to work with. This won't disappoint.

Stayed at The Westin Nanea in Ka'anapali and booked a shore dive with Banyan Tree. Small group, and our instructor, Sean Carpenter, was excellent.Logistics were as easy as it gets — we met about 100 yards from the hotel, gear was already staged and in great shape. Anyone staying at the Westin in Maui, this is about as convenient as a dive can be.Sean gave me personalized coaching on air consumption during the dive, not just generic instruction. He clearly knows the local marine life well, and it's obvious the whole Banyan Tree team genuinely cares about the reef and the animals, not just running people through a checklist.Price was very reasonable for the quality of instruction and gear. I'm staying a few more days and already planning a second dive with them. Highly recommend.

I love this experience. I flew with Armin like 25 years ago and today took my daughter and her friend. They loved it as much as I did years ago. It really is worth the cost. I flew so long ago and still remember it as one of the most memorable things I have done. Once in a lifetime experience. I was so excited when I called to set an appointment Armin was still doing this!
