The best family-friendly activities in Maui for parents and kids (Updated September 2026)

We enjoyed the performance, the food and the service in this luau. This is our first luau and I did a lot of research before I actually booked this particular luau. I have heard stories that the food in luau is not good or performance is not good. I'm glad I booked this luau. The location was only 7 mins from where we were staying. We had the view of Haleakala and the beautiful sunset on the other side.

Amazing. Great scenery and great tour guides. Get to see so much more of the island and experience the natural area.

At first we didn’t know what to expect however we were blown away by not only how fascinating the entire adventure was but also how fun it was to learn what goes into to making GOOD quality chocolate! What I found really fascinating was to learn that 100% of the profits went to local charities! Go on tour, learn something new, enjoy some chocolate and most importantly get out and have fun, you won’t be disappointed!

The experience at the boat ride was excellent, except when we arrived in Lahaina it was a mall parking lot, so we called customer service if we were in the right place, but they treat us like we are stupid people the way the male customer service representative answered. I asked if we were on the right place since it was a mall. I asked where the place is, we are not from this area. he answered, " will you won't be parasailing in the mall". I answered him in a cold voice "we know, we are not stupid that is why we are asking" If I could just cancel my trip that day, I would. We came from a different State, they could had been nicer or more welcoming. but maybe because of my accent, he thinks he can make fun of us. It was not a great experience with the customer service people.

The moment we arrived we felt like family! Dara and Daniel were both very helpful and supportive! Dara’s instructions were easy to follow and the finished product is something we will treasure forever! Definitely worth the price, loved that our class was in the morning and the “extras”, ie, refreshments, snacks and homemade cookies, were all phenomenal! Book this class early, as the classes fill up quickly! Mahalo Dara and Daniel! ❤️

What a special tour! Very informative about cacao, how chocolate is made, the history of the farm, and the local history of Lahaina. Ty was an excellent guide!

The Aquatic Center was exciting, informative, and the 3-D Whale show was excellent. The aquarium was great.

Fantastic dive in Lanai Cathedrals with bonus spinner dolphin sighting from the boat! Staff was great, terrific time.

The ladies at the butterfly farm are so passionate and knowledgeable about butterflies. It was an absolute pleasure to hold a caterpillar and hand feed butterflies. 10/10 recommend.

did the tour and highly recommend. the guide was the owner / ceo and very informative and detailed about the process . showing us the set up and sets it takes to make chocolate and explaining the differences. they even gave us $25 dollar gift card after the tour to use to buy something . omg and mange dark milk flavors were the best flavors we tried

We LOVED our day on Ali’i Nui catamaran. The snorkel trip to Molokini Crater was fabulous. Could see for 100ft clear water. All of staff were super friendly and helpful. Loved having a female captain. Jordan was awesome as was all of her crew. Food and drinks were great. We will definitely book with them again when we are in Maui.
