Alec was great! He took us on beautiful trails that we would have never found on our own - not crowded and very secluded! We were able to swim in waterfalls, hike through bamboo forest, had great local food along the way, and he was very attentive to what we wanted to do throughout our tour. Alec gave us an awesome experience on our road to Hana trip. It was super nice to have such an experienced driver with lots of local knowledge so we could look out at everything without worrying about driving. We took a few small hikes that you would not know anything was there like the bamboo forest trail to a waterfall. He worked very hard to take some amazing photos of us from unique angles, and poses that will help us remember the day. He also had lots of knowledge of the plants to answer our questions. Overall an excellent experience and higly recommended.

If you want a private our that is fun and different, book Alec. He made our day so much fun. We went off the beaten path to see amazing views and stopped at some fun spots along the way for treats. Alec has been doing this tour for 30 years. He knows his stuff. Can’t go wrong with this one!!

This was an amazing experience. Our guide knew the road so well. We wouldn't have experienced the Road to Hana if we had driven it on our own. SO many beautiful stops. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Our day with Alec was amazing, he knows this mountain intimately, pretty sure he can drive it with his eyes closed, took us to many waterfalls, black sand beach (off the beaten path) and the bamboo forest, and much more he was knowledgeable, helpful to others driving the road and a great time, Alec made sure my husband and I got the most of this once in a lifetime experience! He also does the MOST to get that amazing photo of you, I’m talking running up the road to get to the other side to photo you with the most amazing background he was a lunatic in the very BEST way and made our road to Hana trip! There’s no way we would have enjoyed it like we did if we drove ourselves. Plenty of bathroom breaks and he even got us Auntie Sandy’s banana bread and some Hawaii golden pineapple on the way ❤️ if you’re thinking of booking this tour with Alec the answer is YES do it ! This trip and Alec will be etched in our memories and our hearts forever!

An excellent day in the Jeep with guide Alec . He’s very knowledgeable of the history of the area and the hidden gems to discover on the road to Hana without the crowds. Quiet places with beautiful falls, swimming holes, bamboo forests & more. He took great pictures and videos for us to remember our trip by too! He has a great sense of humor which made it all the more fun and I felt like we were saying goodbye to a good friend at the end of the day!

From beginning to end our excursion was exciting, adventurous and fund. Alec went out of his way to ensure we saw beautiful things on and ogg the beaten path. Everyone in our group of five said that it was their favorite.

Alec was an awesome guide who took us off the beaten path. He shown us places on the road to Hana that were not touristy at all. No crowds or waiting in line for us! He knew all the business people along the way and they treated us very well. Alec is an excellent tour guide who will take you to see anything you want OR you can just go with the flow and see all of his favorite hidden gems of the jungle.

If you’re traveling with a smaller group, this is definitely the way to go. The convertible jeep experience was amazing! The tour guide, Alec, was incredible! He brought us to less crowded spots and shared his knowledge of the island with us! It was an unforgettable experience. I couldn’t imagine trying to drive ourselves on that road, we wouldn’t have enjoyed it if that’s what we had to do. Also I don’t see the big group vans being enjoyable having to go at multiple peoples paces/abilities. The private, more intimate tour is the way to go!

Alec was awesome. He knows all the cool spots and is super knowledgeable about the island. He’s a great photographer, too!

One of the best things we did on Maui! We are outdoors people, love to see nature. Without all the crowds. Alec is amazing. He will take you as much as you can take. We usually skipped the "usual" stops and he took us to places you would never find on your own. If you like hiking into places. The road is super curvy and its a slow journey, but make sure to go early and beat the tons of cars on Hana highway. It is busy! He took just me and my wife in his Jeep. It was a real treat. I love his knowledge and in a small vehicle, you get to ask tons of questions and great conversation. A little more cost then the "vans" but after today, I would only go with Alec in a jeep! notes. Wear walking shoes that you can wade in water or get muddy and not have to change for trail walking. We waded across streams! and went through a lot of trails.

THE BEST DAY. highly recommend. explored beaches, waterfalls, bamboo forest. no tourist traps here, you see tons of hidden gems, we were the only ones on our hikes. 10/10 experience!
