Lahaina Hiking & Camping

Alec was great! He took us on beautiful trails that we would have never found on our own - not crowded and very secluded! We were able to swim in waterfalls, hike through bamboo forest, had great local food along the way, and he was very attentive to what we wanted to do throughout our tour. If we said we wanted to do something - he knew a spot! This was our favorite experience of our trip to Maui. If you're thinking about doing a Road to Hana tour, book with Alec!!

Alec gave us an awesome experience on our road to Hana trip. It was super nice to have such an experienced driver with lots of local knowledge so we could look out at everything without worrying about driving. We took a few small hikes that you would not know anything was there like the bamboo forest trail to a waterfall. He worked very hard to take some amazing photos of us from unique angles, and poses that will help us remember the day. He also had lots of knowledge of the plants to answer our questions. Overall an excellent experience and higly recommended.

We were sad to miss black rock beach, but Pete made up for it. He was very knowledgeable, shared lots of information, and had a wonderful fun attitude. Very good driver, too. We had a great time!

After a great transfer ride, we decided to use Victor again to take us hiking. It was incredible! I would HIGHLY recommend Victor for any tour, but the hiking tour has been the highlight of our trip. He is very knowledgeable about the island. Victor can tell you all the places to eat, drink, and explore. He took us for coffee and treats, three different spots, including hiking and cliff jumping. He was great with our two kids too! He even took pictures and videos for us. If you are looking for any type of tour while in Maui, this is the company to use.

Victor is an awesome guy! We met him through Lyft and he gave us a lot of helpful information about Maui. He connected me with his colleague Mr Ford, let me just say, Mr Ford is the nicest person I have met in Maui. He prioritizes treating every traveler like they are family, and I definitely felt that. He is also very generous and considerate of others. He took amazing care of me and my mom. He took me up to the Nakalele Blow Hole, it was amazing!

The road to Hana is not for the faint of heart, and it’s definitely not something that should be attempted by the uninitiated. To attempt this on your own will only sour the experience. Having a professional tour guide behind the wheel allowed my family to get the most out of the experience. Peter was informative, professional and knowledgeable. He enabled my family to get the most out of the experience without the stress of driving or knowing where to go.

If you want a private our that is fun and different, book Alec. He made our day so much fun. We went off the beaten path to see amazing views and stopped at some fun spots along the way for treats. Alec has been doing this tour for 30 years. He knows his stuff. Can’t go wrong with this one!!

Victor was our guide and he was terrific knew some great hidden spots to really see the beauty of the island. He brought drinks and snack had lots of information about the local area and well connected with other merchants if you’re looking for other things to do. Would highly recommend to others.

Kavika was an absolutely perfect host for our Maui adventures. We met him without much expectations but had a wonderful experience. We took us for a coffee, lead us to a magical spot on the coast to see the “blowhole”, lead us into a rain forest, and to other out of the way gems. He had connections with folks and recommendations all along the way and was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend connecting with him!

Peter was fantastic, and led us on a memorable and customized day into an area that he know so well. His knowledge of the flora, history, and stories of the area was legendary. His patience and flexibility (need to pull to the roadside to manage a telehealth visit before we leave cell coverage? No problem!) made everyone in the family comfortable. His driving was safe yet efficient (on a pretty challenging road!). Best of all, we got to know a local for a day and get to know him and his point of view on so many things. Yes, the Road to Hana was filled with great stops and fun beaches and excellent pizza. Peter made it all super-efficient and fun. Strongly recommended!

We did a private Road to Hana tour with Melanie (“Mel”). It was awesome.Mel loves the area and she guided us with the right combo of facts, safety and fun.We loved diving in the waterfall. She took us the safest route and we created some lasting memories.It also felt like a mini food tour as we visited local fruit stands, a quality pizza place, banana bread and a local chocolate farm.The road is impressive and it is really, really nice to have a safe driver focused on the road. Our day with Alec was amazing, he knows this mountain intimately, pretty sure he can drive it with his eyes closed, took us to many waterfalls, black sand beach (off the beaten path) and the bamboo forest, and much more he was knowledgeable, helpful to others driving the road and a great time, Alec made sure my husband and I got the most of this once in a lifetime experience! He also does the MOST to get that amazing photo of you, I’m talking running up the road to get to the other side to photo you with the most amazing background he was a lunatic in the very BEST way and made our road to Hana trip! There’s no way we would have enjoyed it like we did if we drove ourselves. Plenty of bathroom breaks and he even got us Auntie Sandy’s banana bread and some Hawaii golden pineapple on the way ❤️ if you’re thinking of booking this tour with Alec the answer is YES do it ! This trip and Alec will be etched in our memories and our hearts forever!

Highly recommend this Road to Hana Jungle Tour with Alec. He knows the roads like the back of his hand and takes you off the beaten path to go hiking and find some beautiful secret waterfalls and spots. He captured some incredible pictures of our family that I love. We had an absolute blast and saw some truly incredible places. Definitely bring or purchase some water shoes for this tour! We loved it!
