An unforgettable rainforest experience
We did the Road to Hana tour in September 2026 and it didn’t disappoint. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us plenty of time to explore the black sand beach, waterfalls, etc. The drive is super windy with some blind hairpin turns, so I definitely recommend a tour for your first experience. Since someone else was driving both my husband and I could enjoy the views. Our guide would also stop along the way briefly for pictures of breathtaking scenery and views throughout the trip.

Travis was an incredible tour guide. In addition to knowing the road and each of its attractions like the back of his hand, we learned he was a certified lifeguard when he heroically saved a drowning woman’s life at the waterfall we stopped to swim at. We’re so grateful to have had him as our tour guide, the experience wouldn’t have been the same without him! The continental breakfast and hot lunch both exceeded our expectations. We also had lots of great opportunities to purchase gifts and treats along the way. Finally, we were very appreciative of Travis’s driving, which completely minimized the discomfort of the many turns and single lane bridges on the road. This tour will always be of our favorite memories on Maui!! - Young D

I have to say that this tour way EXCEEDED our expectations and it was because of our tour guide Marty!!! We took our tour on 7/26/26. The amount of information he provided, the inclusion of EVERYONE on the tour and his SINCERE care to make sure we got the experience WE wanted was STELLAR!! Now that we are home and looking at all the pictures taken, we were able to give lots of extra details we learned from Marty that WOW’d our families! My family of three were picked up from our hotel in Lahaina by our driver/tour guide, Lyman. Lyman was personable, funny, super knowledgeable of the area and island, and a great driver! He was mindful of our interests, needs and comfort. We had snacks and lunch at some local spots and developed a newfound appreciation for the nature and beauty that Maui has to share! The tour was about nine hours long, but time flew by and we hardly noticed how long we had been driving around from start to finish.

We visited Maui and had the concierge at our hotel set up tours. Glad they set us up with this company. We were picked up from our hotel on time. The vehicle was comfortable and the group was small. Brandon and Jenelle were wonderful guides. Lots of history. Sometimes overwhelming but great historical information. We were able to visit many places that truly would have been a hassle for us to coordinate. The stops were in places we loved and we did not feel rushed. A light breakfast of the most delicious banana bread was served. Lunch consisted of fresh fish, brown rice and sweet potato macaroni salad (which was yummy). Windy roads made me car sick And they had ginger melts and wonderful motion sickness wrist bands that truly helped calm my stomach. Book this experience. It was wonderful!

Paula was our guide and she is a plethora of history of the area and people who made the entire experience enjoyable. Pre-coordination was efficient and pick up at our hotel was on time. We never felt rushed at any of the stops and learned a little more along the way from our friendly guide. The van was stocked with water and juice, and very comfortable for an 11+ hour day.

highlight of our Maui trip
This was everything we could have asked for. He could adjust the trip to our preferences and knew about every little thing. Just me, my wife and our guide, who lives in Hana and showed us the neighborhood he lived in. I was a great way to both learn from the actual people that live there and support the local community as well. It much better to hire a guide, because then you can just focus on enjoying and making the most out of the time.
