My wife and I were certified by Fathom Five. It was an amazing experience. Great instructors and beautiful dive sites. I recommend Fathom Five to anyone who loves snorkeling and thought about diving. The difference is night and day.

Jay and Fin did an excellent job guiding us along the Na Pali coast 06/11. Jay had a seemingly infinite amount of information about Kauai and Hawaii and I learned so much in a short time. Fin kept us safe, on pace, and fed. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Did 4 dives with Five Fathom in June and had a stellar experience.My refresher shore dives with Jeannette at Koloa Landing were great. She's very experienced, knowledgable and put my mind at ease on shore and in the water. Felt incredibly safe diving with her and excited to explore the underwater wonderland of Kauai.My two boat dives with Julie were enjoyable as well. The water was a bit choppy on the surface after a couple days of wind and rain and she did a great job of explaining what to expect, keeping the group together underwater and ensuring everyone was safe, enjoying themselves and seeing lots of cool things. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she has an amazing eye for spotting sea life - from a massive octopus, to turtles, harlequin shrimp, moray eels, domino damselfish and more.Thank you for an amazing and unforgettable experience Jeannette & Julie!

Had the best shore dive experience ever. Shawn was a great dive master and found sea life I never would have found myself. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Captain Nick and Captain Jesse do an outstanding job! It was a blast chasing the fish by following the bird piles. It felt like you were flying right alongside the sea birds! We caught a skipjack tuna and Jesse diced it up for us and marinated it in a delicious poke sauce. Afterwards, we drove up by Waimea Canyon to the fantastic 4000 ft high Kalalau Lookout and we ate our delicious fresh fish while gazing down at the amazing Pacific Ocean. What an amazing, once in a lifetime experience! Thanks Nick and Jesse!!

We did a two-tank DSD and had an absolute blast — hands down one of the best dive experiences we’ve had! My partner had never dove before and I’m an instructor, so our expectations were high, and Fathom Five blew them out of the water. From the moment we walked in, it was a true five-star experience.Carlea was amazing — super knowledgeable, incredibly welcoming, and made the entire signup process effortless. She answered every question and got my partner genuinely excited (and confident!) about taking her first breaths underwater. Our DSD instructor, Alyssa, was absolutely phenomenal. I’ve worked with many instructors over the years, and her briefing and instruction were top-tier. Our experience with Jess and Nick was excellent. Their experience, knowledge, passion and hospitality were outstanding. We had some special requirements due to a back injury and they made sure everything was safe and comfortable. Not only that, we saw many beautiful creatures and landscapes including a Monk Seal eating an octopus, hundreds of bottle nosed and spinner dolphins, a whale, eagle rays and many rare endemic fish that you can only see on and around Kauai. Their knowledge on the history and formation of the Na’apali Coast added to the natural beauty. And lunch and snacks were delicious. Thank you both.

We were looking for something fun, adventurous and memorable to do during a vacation trip we took to Kauai. We’ve always been enamored by the beauty and ruggedness of the Napali coastline, and have viewed it both by zodiac boat and by large catamaran in prior travel. This time, however, we decided to look into the up close and personal experience of making the trip by kayak. After considering a couple of different tour operators, we found Kayak Kauai. For a warm up, we spent half a day kayaking the Hanalei River and Bay with one of their guides Annie. It was an incredible trip. Annie was engaging, supportive, and supremely competent. Based on this experience, two days later, we decided to take the plunge and go for the supreme challenge, the 18 miles Napali coastline.On the morning of our departure, our trip was complicated by hurricane Kiko that decided to blow by off the coast, resulting in some interesting and challenging wind, currents, and swells. It was a grueling, challenging, tiring, wonderful, spectacular…once in a lifetime trip, and we are so glad that we did this, despite the blisters and sore muscles! Jay our guide together with Cody, navigated our way down the coastline in what ended up being an epic adventure, one that my wife and I will never forget! Jay and Cody were friendly, encouraging, professional, and highly competent. Jay provided highly technical coaching in an understandable way, with lots of encouragement, which was the key to such a successful trip on a pretty challenging day at sea. We viewed the incredible coastal rock formations, paddled into three different caves, and saw sea turtles and monk seals. This will truly be an unforgettable memory for my wife and me…and by the way, we are in our 60’s; so if you are considering this trip, don’t think that it is only for the kids!

This was our second time renting from Sensational Sea Scooters and it was once again such a blast! Kelly has clearly grown the business over the last few years and it's great to see how many others have enjoyed the scooters. While my family and I snorkeled multiple days on our trip and are solid swimmers, having one outing with the scooters is still a lot of fun and worth trying for anyone on the fence. Make sure to figure out which part of the island you'd like to experience with them so you know which location to book!

Linda, our dive master, and Sergio, our captain, did an excellent job to hit everyone's requests. It was a super experience... safe and fun! I've been diving with this outfit for over 25 dives and highly recommend them.

The private charter to the Na Pali Coast exceeded any expectations we had as a multiple tripper to the NaPali it was FANTASTIC! Captain Dylan/Dillon was incredible taking us so close to the caves and best of all the thrilling ride to the coast was encountering 5’ to 6’ swells and he made it feel like “cutting through butter” exhilarating but absolutely safe AND best of all on our return to the harbor he found numerous Humpback whales that were breaching , fin flapping and flunking.All in all it was our BEST CHARTER BOAT TRIP on an incredible boat aptly handled by a TERRIFIC CREW!Dale & Carol Fullington Clearwater, Fl.

We had a wonderful time. Jay was our trip leader with Harrison and Gavin helping out. They took care of everything. We did not see any whales, but we did see dolphins and turtles. Even if we had not seen any wildlife, the experience would’ve been perfect. It was peaceful and well-managed, and we had lunch at the quintessential deserted beach. The food that was supplied was surprisingly fresh and delicious. We are not stellar athletes, but they were supportive and kind and Jay skillfully helped me get back into the kayak in the middle of the ocean after I jumped in. Jay knows so much about the island and was a nonstop source of entertainment and interesting information. I recommend this tour wholeheartedly!

Jay guided us on a gorgeous day out, kayaking from Poipu to Port Allen. It was such a gift to have close and unintrusive encounters with sea life, including a pair of curious whales. He showed us a coral reef at sea we could snorkel, which would have been impossible to know was there without his expertise. We stopped at a quiet and nearly empty beach--again, it would be hard to know it was there without a guide--for lunch and to stretch our legs. At every every moment of our trip, Jay was a calm, exceedingly capable, fun, and knowledgeable guide--including the drive back to the launch where he casually answered questions about Kauai history and gave me more insight than I've gathered in all my trips here put together. This was a highlight of a 12-day trip that's been filled with beautiful, unforgettable moments. TIPS If you're staying on the south or west side, ask if you can meet them at Koloa Landing. Take Dramamine if at all in doubt. I don't get carsick or airsick and have never been sick on a kayak, but I took Dramamine and am glad I did. Especially when I wasn't paddling waiting to see what the whales might do, I started to feel the waves. I crashed hard after the trip when the sun and drug hit, but was fine while I was out on the water.

The sea scooters are awesome and super helpful when snorkeling, I would definitely recommend booking the scooters. My husband and I rented the scooters for two separate days during our trip and we loved them. The owner is also super sweet and knowledgeable, she was beyond helpful! Next time we return to Kauai we will definitely be renting the scooters through sensational sea adventure again! The service was spectacular!
