He calmed our fears of the very windy conditions expertly guided the boat while providing local and historical information of sites along the way. Snorkeling was short with not many fish but the water was pleasant. Food and beverages were perfect. We recommend this tour.

Most amazing experience of my life without exaggeration. The views were spectacular. I felt like I was in a movie. The boat ride was very fun and it was an adventure. The crew was very professional, helpful, and entertaining would return to Hawaii just to do this tour again.

Beautiful History

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing trip with captains Jake and RJ. They were extremely friendly and informative with such amazing information on the history of the island’s. I think the price was a little high considering we still had to tip them (which they deserved) but that is another fee on top of the 600 dollar fee to go on the ride. I will say it was a slightly long trip but worth the time for sure. Especially because of the views we got to see and the snorkeling we were lucky to be able to do with the weather we had. The seating was very comfortable with the amount of people on our trip of about 16 people with plenty of space. For me the best thing was the views obviously and learning such a rich history behind all the Na Pali coast as well. I recommend doing this trip at least once but be prepared for a hearty price tag.

One of the best excursions I’ve been on it was so fun well worth the money

It is a wild ride but very fun. Ryan has exceptional boating skills. I felt very confident with him driving the boat and he made it very exciting. The music was awesome. We saw lots of dolphins. We went through a cave that was gorgeous and we got wet under a waterfall. They get up close in personal to the coastline, Ryan and Jeff make a great team they make you feel very welcome and make sure that you’re comfortable with the whole trip. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a little adventure.

We had such a wonderful day. The crew way very nice and set down with me to chat.they are very knowledgeable about the area, their family came from here! I have been on a helicopter tour before and it is very beautiful but it’s fast. On the boat you get to enjoy all the beauty all day and they take you to hard to see spots. The food was fresh and good.

BOOK WITH THESE GUYS! Awe inspiring trip on a great boat with a wonderful crew.

There are several companies that do tours of the Na Pali coast but it’s hard to imagine any are as good as Capt J’s. My husband and I did a tour on 8/29/2026 and it was excellent for reasons summarized below:- First and foremost, the boat skipper (Nohili) and his assistant (Jeff) were fantastic! Nohili is a proud Hawaiian who grew up on Kauai and was able to share an extensive knowledge of island history, Hawaiian culture, sea life, and local customs. In addition to all that, he is incredibly friendly, and an expert boat handler. Jeff is a very warm guy who went out of his way to ensure that everyone onboard was comfortable, and well provided with snacks and drinks. (On top of all that, he is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy— another highly professional sailor onboard).- Nohili went out of his way to ensure we saw everything, including a large school of Spinner dolphins, many sea turtles, wildlife on the shore, and he picked a great snorkeling place. The tour of sea cave was fantastic.- Based upon what I saw online from the other tour companies and in the other boats out there, the RIB boats Capt. J’s uses are larger, more secure, way better than the others and they are very comfortable. In addition to great seating, they also have a shaded area, and a working toilet (“head”). Jeff took great care to ensure that the boat was kept clean and that the head was clean and smelled good after each stop. (As a former sailor, I know how important this is to avoid people becoming sick.)I have 2 strong recommendations: First, seeing the Na Pali coast is a must! I’ve sailed around the world and it is one of the most beautiful coastlines I’ve ever seen. Second, I am sure that there are other companies that do a nice job, but I cannot imagine the day having been done better than these guys did. I highly recommend them!

Good Time Despite Conditions

This was our 4th trip over the years with Holoholo and we enjoyed the trip. The weather impacted our ability to travel to Ni’ihau, so we were able to travel farther up the Na Pali coast; we were given a 20 % discount upon our return due to the travel adjustments. The weather was windy and the ride was choppy heading into the wind but smooth coming back down with the wind. We saw several pods of spinning dolphins. Drew was our captain and did a great job describing the scenery. Noah was excellent at making sure everyone was waited on. Lexi and Kamala also provided good service.

Wonderful 3 part tour--Kayaking, Snorkeling, and Lunch on the Beach.

My kids and grandkids took this tour and absolutely loved it and would do it again. They were thrilled with the helpful guide and thoroughly enjoyed the Kayaking experience.Their favorite part was the snorkeling and seeing so many fish. Lunch on the beach was also a wonderful, relaxing treat for them. Thanks so much!! Outstanding tour!

5 Star Customer service!

Although the tour was cancelled due to Hurricane Lowell, the company contacted me with updates well in advance and kept communication going to ensure there was plenty of notice of a pending cancellation. Next trip to the area I will Definently rebook and appreciate all of the updates and quick refund offer. 5 stars just on customer service alone!

Beautiful but bouncy.

Crew was amazing, food was tasty. We saw dolphins and beautiful cliffsides. It is a very long tour and even I was a little seasick from being bounced around for 4 hours by the end.

Best sunset cruise ever!!!

It can be rough seas..5 to 6 people got seasick.. Word to the wise..The taco bar was terrific lots of food and plenty of booze.. Except..they did run out of chardonnay. Not good.. Captain and crew were the best EVER!!!
