We did the blue line with SAM Our tour was absolutely wonderful, and a huge part of that was because of our amazing guide! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely made sure everyone was having a great time. His positive energy and attention to detail made the whole experience so enjoyable and memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend him and this tour!

A great way to take an easy to moderate hike especially if you are unfamiliar with the area or how to find the trails. Easy way to get to a good hike without needing your own car. Come prepared with good hiking shoes tennis shoes are not recommended.

Fantastic, my tour kind was hilarious. Didn’t even charge us extra for the jokes. We were warned that we’d get “stick envy” on the way down… and boy did we. The company provide you with every thing you need for the walk. The waterfall hike itself is a little challenging (I have moderate/good fitness) and I did find myself looking at the woman next to me and her inhaler and wondering if she’d let me half a quick puff… inhaler envy I guess. But the way down Is harder, especially if it’s wet. This is definitely when you see stick envy. You can choose to just curl up and roll back down. But I don’t think it’s advised. There is a hose to clean off your trainers, but it was long and slow because some people seemed to want to get them back to show ready. My favourite part was when someone asked if there was a toilet and the guide keeping a straight face while replying, “Well. This is the middle of a rainforest, they don’t normally come with bathrooms” 😅😅… there is one just, but it’s at the bottom of the car parks.My only regret was that I didn’t get to tip my guide. I forgot cash and UK sims don’t allow V payments and I really wanted to give a tip. I’m so sorry about that.Thank you for such an awesome trip, so worth the money. Mahalo

This was a great excurison opportunity because you got to see so much of the coastline and it was beyond breathtaking.Also, the driver (I can't recall his name but he is a local and grew up in Oahu and went to Waikiki Elementary school) of the shuttle was awesome and extremely helpful and professional. I went to the wrong pick up hotel location and had missed the time slot of my pick up due to it but the driver called me and asked where I was, I told him what happened. He came to the nearest hotel I was at and did not leave my family behind. I was beyond thankful!

Sarah was a great tour guide. Super fun and easy to talk to. Very knowledgeable about the hike. The trail was very easy, generally slow slopes up or down with a few areas of steps, though we are reasonably fit. It was raining more that usual that day so the trail was a bit muddy. Sarah offered us walking sticks, which were super useful! Overall, I’d highly recommend.

Great hike, tour guides drop you off and pick you up from hikes only. Go early in the morning as it gets super hot. Great tour Guides Matt and Tommy.

Zara was so knowledgeable about the ecosystem of the Island ! And hike was nice / highly recommend the ride bike too!

Not an easy climb. Slippery rocks and large amount of stairs to climb. Be in good shape and bring water. Great view and glad it was done at 6am due to heat

Beautiful views but bring lots of water. Our driver was awesome (Tommy) was quite witty. And very knowledgeable of the island.

This tour was absolutely outstanding and ended up being one of the highlights of our entire Oahu trip. We were the only ones who booked that day, so it turned into a private tour with Troy, the owner, which made the experience even more special. From the moment we started driving up Old Pali Road through the Nuuanu Valley rainforest, it felt like stepping into another world. The canopy forming a tunnel overhead was magical, and Troy shared fascinating stories and history along the way. The stop at Nu’uanu Pali Lookout was breathtaking — sweeping views across the windward side, from Kualoa Ranch and Chinaman’s Hat to Kaneohe Sandbar and Kailua. Troy took time to explain the historical significance and made sure we had plenty of opportunities for photos. The Likeke Falls hike was a perfect balance of easy and adventurous. Walking under the rainforest canopy with the sounds of birds and rushing water was incredible, and getting up close to the waterfall felt intimate and unspoiled. Troy pointed out native plants, kukui nuts and ginger, which added a great educational element. We made many stops since there were only the 2 of us and we got thru the hiking portion quicker than if it were a large group. We stopped at Makapu‘u Point, where the coastal views were stunning — lighthouse trail, Sealife Park, Makapu‘u Beach, and even whale-spotting potential since we were in the right season... but alas... they were too shy that day. Then on to the Halona Blowhole, with the potential for dramatic ocean spray if the waves were running the right direction (they weren't), views of Sandy Beach, and a look down at famous Eternity Beach. What truly sets this tour apart is Troy himself. He’s knowledgeable, passionate, relaxed, and genuinely loves sharing Hawaii. He never rushed us, tailored the pace to our interests, and made the whole day feel personal rather than scripted. If you’re looking for an authentic, scenic, and memorable way to experience Oahu beyond the typical tourist stops, book this tour.

Makai was everything I love in a guide- clearly knowledgeable, stopped enough to see the sights but not so much to disrupt the flow, patient with my mother and her hip replacement. It had been rainy so the walk was slick but not impossible (makai provided walking sticks also, so thoughtful!) and the waterfall flow was perfect. Just what we hoped for!
