Set in the artist home studio atelier with a treasure trove of beads and jewelry creating an immersive experience that offers a fun and accessible introduction to jewelry making. You’ll learn about exquisite pearls—from Tahitian and Akoya to Keshi and Edison pearls—and the differences between freshwater and saltwater varieties. Dive into the fascinating history of this timeless Hawaiian tradition while picking up a few Hawaiian words as you bead your own necklace.
Mona Lisa provides a prepared jewelry kit with all the materials you need—wire, beads, and supplies—to create one beautiful piece or multiple stunning designs. If you need extra materials, she’ll have options on hand to keep your inspiration flowing.
Whether you're a beginner or a jewelry enthusiast, this workshop blends education, artistry, and aloha spirit into a truly memorable experience.

What To Expect
Aloha! Welcome to my Maui Mona Lisa jewelry making in the artist home studio.
One hour class: beginning jewelry making. One necklace is usually easy to complete in 45 minutes with design and placing floating heads on threader chain. Puka shells and spacer beads. 14K gold fill chain. Or sterling option.
Two hour class: If you plan to work with pearls and puka shells you will need to sign up for the two hour class. It is more advanced. It takes more design thought and more materials.
Wire work takes 45 min to learn. Creating a more custom professional design.
Option of you finish the necklace in time I extend the invitation to create another piece if there is time.
I recommend this class due to most want to learn the wire work.
