Oahu Tours & Sightseeing

We saw quite a lot in 1 day but it was a great experience. Had time to take pictures. Tour guide was helpful and patient with us and knew the area well.

This was a bucket list thing for me.Transportation from Kona to Honolulu and back was a little tricky and cumbersome (had to be there by 5am and didn’t get back until 9:30pm). Part of the frustration was dealing with Southwest Airlines…. Our passes were basically at the end of the list so seats were limited.Once we arrived at Honolulu, everything was great.We were given specific instructions for the day but left alone for 6 hours to explore the area. Unfortunately, the National Park Service limits time at the memorial to 45 minutes but our driver had us well prepared.Such an awesome and moving experience.We had PLENTY of time to explore the Bowfin, USS Missouri, the museums, and the gift shops. Would have liked to have another hour or so to see the aviation museum (which is included), but didn’t have time.It was a day packed with both history and emotions.Recommend having a really good agenda and time limits when you go if you want to see everything.Tour actually ended about 4 1/2 hours before the flight back to Kona. We tried to get standby for the first flight out but despite being first on the list…. They gave one of the two seats to a Southwest employee who walked up at the past minute.I would recommend anyone traveling there from another island going ahead and reserving standby on the earlier flight just in case you get back early.Would do this tour again many times over…. Tour was excellent! Bucket list item that lived up to my expectations. Southwest Airlines was the only negative part of the day.

We struggled to get tickets to Pearl Harbor and the Missouri. The cost was def extra but so worth it! Clift was an excellent guide and took care of us from beginning to end. We would def use again!

The site is somber and uplifting at the same time. Well maintained and beautiful. We bought a tour package so our time was EXTREMELY limited. I would love to go back but I will take my chances with a taxi or something. $925 for just a couple hours at the site isn't my idea of a good deal.

As a lifelong resident Robert was very accommodating to add or skip stops. He had great recommendations too.

I've never been on a better snorkeling tour than this one! It was truly enchanted to swim with dolphins in their natural environment. The guides ensured that everyone had an incredible time and were both competent and amiable. Highly recommended!

We booked this Tour for our family as we came together for a family holiday to Oahu from 4 places in the USA, Australia and two place in NZ. We had a great day out with Marvi our Driver. He was amazing and took us everywhere. We had a list of some places we wanted to see and he sorted out the best route and off we went. Our small Coach was great for us to spread around as there was 13 of us. Marvi (short for marvellous) even recommend and organised doing a booking for lunch in advance at the Shrimp Cafe as this place gets very busy. We saw the Dole Plantation and many other great spots we stopped at of interest during our day. We all had an awesome time during the 8 hours. Brilliant. Thanks Marvi, you are marvellous !!

From the beginning we were attended by Elijah via WhatsApp. Via Email, you don't care, you ask for answers and someone else replies and never complete answers, except for sending invoices Finally, two tours were contracted, Honolulu and Pearl Harbor. He confirmed Elias and we made the full payment. The next day we were immediately sent the invoice. Once hired he gave us ample information about everything. Yes, they have great service experience. Days before arrival we sent an email and we were answered by another person with a reply that was not for Us, however he sent the correct one and everything in order. We talked to Elijah again and everything was ready. Already on the island, the customers very well served and have been satisfied.

This tour provides a good overview of the US military and its presence in Hawaii over the last 100 years and how it has impacted Hawaii and the United States as a whole. It provides the depth, never taught in schools.

We rented a tandem kayak with Blue Bay Kayak Adventures to go to Kaneohe Sandbar. The communication was perfect and we could have chosen the delivery place which was a plus. We really enjoyed our kayak trip!

A few friends and I went on a private snorkeling charter with Captain Chris and had an absolutely unforgettable time! Not only was Captain Chris (and his first mate) remarkably knowledgable about the Hawaiian marine life and local waters, he also made us feel extremely safe the whole day. Most importantly, because Captain Chris and Ocean Therapy only take out small groups, we got to see and do everything the big boats offer but in a small, intimate setting. We already can’t wait to come back and go out with Ocean Therapy again! Thank you so much Captain Chris!!

My family took the Arizona Memorial, Dole Plantation, and Polynesian Cultural Center tour. This was a great tour for my family. We were crunched for time and want to pack a lot into the little time we had while in Hawaii. We had the pleasure of meeting 2 different drivers, Leena and Anthony. They were awesome drivers. Leena took great care of us until our first stop and Anthony took great care of us the rest of the day. Anthony took great care of my family and especially my elderly parents.

Our family, group of ten, had the most amazing time on this private tour. The driver was so flexible to our requests. We also played sing along songs and made this a very memorable day.

To see all the different attractions they show the beauty of the island. I didn’t feel rushed. Having the one-on-one experience allows you to ask questions and really get to know the island and the attractions. The tour guide (Sergei) was phenomenal and his knowledge was second to none.

The grand circle tour was awesome! Mia was an excellent guide providing background and history of all the stops and Hawaiian culture. The trip offered a great overview of all the Big Island sites: coffee plantation including samples of fresh Kona coffee; local bakery with wonderful breads, sandwiches, malsaladas and ice cream; multiple views of the Kilauea volcano including the steaming caldera and walking through a cool Lava tube; checking out green turtles while having lunch at a black sand beach; visiting two spectacular waterfalls; and a final view of the northern valleys before sunset. Highly recommend this tour to have a taste of everything that the Big Island has to offer. Mia and the Wasabi tour group are superb!!

South-East and North Shore Oahu Adventure Private Tour Pros: create your own tour or let Shane give you his standard tour. Save time and see/do more with less planning. Hike, surf, snorkel, feed the fishes, sight-see, beach swim, food, fishing. Cons: nothing I can think of, maybe price? But you can negotiate affordability based on your budget and activities.Shane picked us up from Ilikai in Waikiki, where we were staying, with a comfortable and roomy van. He brought snorkels, three surf boards, bottled water for drinking, and home-baked yummy banana bread! Shane led our family of seven: ages 11, 17, 18 to 51, on a beautiful and engaging tour of the South-East to North Shore side of Oahu. We ate garlic shrimp and ahi poke, Matsumoto shaved ice, fresh coconuts, sampled macadamia raw cracked from the nut as well as different savoury and sweet preparations, had time to buy some souvenirs and snacks. We spent time on beautiful Wai Manalo beach snacking on banana bread baked by Shane's wife, while the kids built sand castles and swam. Went to a place with tide pools where our kids snorkeled while us adults fed the fishes. Then visited another beach in North Shore where the kids surfed while us adults chatted on the beach.Since it's a custom tour, you can stay as long or as short on a stop that you like - to admire the views, take pictures, or to swim/play at a beach. I liked how we can stop almost anywhere (safe and legal) unhampered by crowded parking lots or restrictive tour buses. In some nice spots we went to, tour buses are not allowed to stop/unload passengers. Shane, being a local also has some parking perks and us tourists didn't need to worry about long walks from parking to get to the spot we wanted to go to. Shane dropped us off in front and went to find parking.Shane talked about some of the old/ancient history of the places we passed by or visited, and also recounted more recent history as applicable that made the places we visited even more interesting. I think without the conversation about history or current events or cultural practices of the people of Hawaii - the places we visited would be just like any other picturesque photos that you see on blogs or magazines. We appreciated the visuals of what we experienced all the more because we were also intellectually engaged.We would definitely go with Shane again, for more snorkeling, surfing, and fishing. And to see more of the other places we didn't go to, can't do everything in one day.
