This my first ever trip to Hawaii at 72 years young. My sister and I were this memory making trip. I was fortunate to have the front passenger seat, full front view. I saw so many amazing beautiful sites. Dom is an excellent guide. The wealth of knowledge of the hawaiian culture and island fascinated me. Mahalo Dom!

Alec was great! He took us on beautiful trails that we would have never found on our own - not crowded and very secluded! We were able to swim in waterfalls, hike through bamboo forest, had great local food along the way, and he was very attentive to what we wanted to do throughout our tour. If we said we wanted to do something - he knew a spot! This was our favorite experience of our trip to Maui. If you're thinking about doing a Road to Hana tour, book with Alec!!

Tristen was our tour guide on our trip to Hana and I can’t praise him enough. We felt like we were leaving family behind when our tour was over. We did the Road to Hana tour in September 2026 and it didn’t disappoint. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us plenty of time to explore the black sand beach, waterfalls, etc. The drive is super windy with some blind hairpin turns, so I definitely recommend a tour for your first experience. Since someone else was driving both my husband and I could enjoy the views. Our guide would also stop along the way briefly for pictures of breathtaking scenery and views throughout the trip.

Alec gave us an awesome experience on our road to Hana trip. It was super nice to have such an experienced driver with lots of local knowledge so we could look out at everything without worrying about driving. We took a few small hikes that you would not know anything was there like the bamboo forest trail to a waterfall. He worked very hard to take some amazing photos of us from unique angles, and poses that will help us remember the day. He also had lots of knowledge of the plants to answer our questions. Overall an excellent experience and higly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience on the Haleakala Sunrise Tour! Seeing the sunrise from the top of Haleakala was absolutely beautiful and definitely a must-do activity while visiting Maui. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish.The one area we would suggest improving is the drop-off process at the end of the tour. We were one of the last groups picked up in the morning, so we expected that we might be among the first dropped off afterward. Instead, the van drove right past our resort and continued north to drop off other guests before eventually bringing us back. This added close to an extra hour to an already very early and long morning.Since our resort was directly along the route, it would have made much more sense to drop us and the other nearby guests off as the van passed by, especially since everyone else was staying farther north.Overall, we really enjoyed the tour and would absolutely recommend the Haleakala sunrise experience. We just hope the company will consider organizing the return drop-offs geographically so guests aren’t spending unnecessary extra time in the van after such an early start.

Randy is truly an incredible guide dedicated to making this an excellent experience, and very knowledgeable on places you can’t miss and hidden gems. If you want to see the road to Hana this is the tour you want!

Travis was an incredible tour guide. In addition to knowing the road and each of its attractions like the back of his hand, we learned he was a certified lifeguard when he heroically saved a drowning woman’s life at the waterfall we stopped to swim at. We’re so grateful to have had him as our tour guide, the experience wouldn’t have been the same without him! The continental breakfast and hot lunch both exceeded our expectations. We also had lots of great opportunities to purchase gifts and treats along the way. Finally, we were very appreciative of Travis’s driving, which completely minimized the discomfort of the many turns and single lane bridges on the road. This tour will always be of our favorite memories on Maui!! - Young D

I get motion sickness but the drive was smooth, so didnt have any issues. The long drive and early wake up were so worth it. Seeing the colors, the stars and the moon, and then the sunrise were spectacular.

I have to say that this tour way EXCEEDED our expectations and it was because of our tour guide Marty!!! We took our tour on 7/26/26. The amount of information he provided, the inclusion of EVERYONE on the tour and his SINCERE care to make sure we got the experience WE wanted was STELLAR!! Now that we are home and looking at all the pictures taken, we were able to give lots of extra details we learned from Marty that WOW’d our families! Our Road to Hana tour was absolutely amazing! 🌺 Our guide Malu was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience even more memorable. We learned so much along the way and enjoyed every moment. And Miko the doggy passenger was just adorable! Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui! Only one final note- the road is like a roller coaster so you may need Dramamine.. our guide was prepared! 🌴✨

This was the perfect romantic sunset experience. The views were incredible. Vic is an amazing guide, I'd hire him for any type of Maui tour. A great and knowledge guide who got us in the absolute best spot to witness the sunset. He promptly answered any questions we had before the tour. We asked about what to wear in advanced and he provided us with hoodies and a warm blanket to watch a magical sunset. Vic took many photos throughout the experience for us so we could focus on watching the sunset with each other. Vic is an extremely good/safe driver. He knew so much about Maui. I'd book him again for any kind of tour on the island. I firmly believe this is the best Haleakala Private Sunset Tour you can book. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Maui. You'll remember it for the rest of your life.

I have traveled many places with tour guides, NONE have been as good as Vic. I would consider booking him for anything on Maui. However, this tour was absolutely incredible. The tour was the number highlight of my girlfriend and I's trip to Maui. Before the tour, I inquired about what to wear as we did not pack anything for cold weather on Maui. Vic was ready with 2 hoodies and a warm blanket. The tour started with him picking us up at our hotel. Immediately he provided us with his mother's incredible homemade banana bread and offered us beverages. We then began the drive, throughout the drive he pointed out interesting things along the way. His driving was A+. Multiple times we got out and he took pictures for us at incredibly scenic spots. Eventually, Vic got us to the summit in a great parking spot. He then helped us to the perfect spot to view the sunset, protected from the wind by rocks. Again, he took more photos for us while we prepared to watch an incredible sunset. The view was unlike anything I'd seen before. Despite his excellent photography, I still felt compelled to snap a few pictures with my phone. As some groups started to leave, Vic said just wait because the colors are only going to get better. I am glad we did, photos do not do the sunset justice. The experience was absolutely magical. After all was said and done, I felt lucky to have booked with him. I truly believe this is the best sunset tour and guide you could possibly find on Maui. Anything we needed help with, he was able to assist. He has a great sense of humor and a perfect laid back vibe. More importantly, he is a good person. The next time I am fortunate enough to visit Maui, I will absolutely book with him/Aloha Wild Tours again. I cannot stress how great of a local guide Vic was. A couple days later, he sent us a video of different moments he recorded set to perfect music. I'll always treasure that video of my girlfriend and I from the sunset tour. If you book this tour, you will be treated with the best views of your life and learn a lot about Maui. It was more than just a tour, in the end we made a good friend while seeing the best sunset of our lives. If you are still reading this, stop and book your tour already. You will not regret it.

Sean was a great tour guide and wasn’t run of the mill like most tour guides. The day went by way too fast and he has a great sense of humor. It was a great tour!
