Loved our visit to the Maui Alpaca Farm! Padma was our host and she was great - guiding us as we interacted with the animals and giving us a detailed background of the farm. The alpaca are gentle and a riot to interact with. The bunnies are adorable. Nice gift shop, excellent scenic location, and a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

This was our first time visiting the Maui Vanilla Farm and we’ll definitely be back! The owners are great - personable, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The farm is clean and new and easily accessible in a lovely location. The tour itself was informative and the gift shop had wonderful souvenirs to take a part of the island home with you. Excellent samples were provided to taste as well. Highly recommend!

Great chance to get off the beaten path and Learn from an expert about cacao cultivation and making chocolate. We saw the entire life cycle of the cacao trees and were allowed to touch smell and taste beans from all stages of processing. Then we taste tested chocolate made from cacao grown across the entire region. The cacao tea was a highlight.

My wife and I booked a tour for the Craft Chocolate Tasting and Farm Tour and we were was not disappointed. The Chocolate Tasting and Farm tour were both very informative and detailed. For the Farm Tour, Jude our Guide, explained from the beginning of how he became friend's with the owner's son Colin, how the cacao farm came into existence, the planting of the cacao trees, all the way through the total processing of making the cacao from the pods. The cacao shop offered the tasting of numerous chocolates from the Island of Hawaii and Oahu, numerous types of specialty chocolate bars and even chocolate nibs for an alternative to coffee and tea. Our guide was excellent. She cares about the animals and taught us how to safely interact with them. Our one-hour tour was fun and educational. There were seven adults in our tour, our family of five and one other couple. We enjoyed petting and hand feeding the female alpacas. No male alpacas in our group to avoid any shenanigans. Two of the females were already pregnant and the young farm wants to expand slowly as they build and train their staff. The long-haired Angora bunnies were sweet and soft. Our 7-year-old granddaughter toured the farm earlier. Holding a bunny was her favorite part.

Amazing and knowledgeable tour guide. We got lucky and managed to book a time where seemingly no other group did, this meant we effectively got a private tour of their beautiful farm and was even given the opportunity to pick and eat a fresh dragon fruit! To our delight it was actually a rare “strawberry” cross breed (mix of red and white that looks pink inside), it was extremely refreshing and sweet!After looking at all their unique plants and given insightful knowledge on how they are grown, the troubles faced for Hawaii farmers and the way they deal with it, we were then treated to an extremely fresh and sweet tray of fruit that complemented the earthy, sweat and tart teas we had.If you enjoy scenic views, a tea lover or just want to understand local life, this is the experience for you.

The only thing that really could have been improved was the directions to the meeting location. You turn down a dirt road that’s about a 1/4 mile and makes u feel like you’re in the wrong location. If the plants were cut back and the sign looked more official it would have been more reassuring. Out side of this the guide was fantastic and the experience was amazing!!

Magical experience
This was such a fun and unique experience I don’t think you’ll be able to find many other places. Due to the lack of light position, the amount of stars that were visible was truly breathtaking. Christian was clearly knowledgeable in all things space and I’d say 95% of what I learned was knew and interesting facts I’d never been taught about the stars. For this tour you get to sit on the beach in the dark (also it’s byob, who doesn’t love that?) while Christian not only tells you about the stars but also shows you through a high tech telescope. He was open to questions and always had an answer. 10/10 would recommend, this was such a magical experience and I learned a lot.
