We had the amazing John x John driver and tour guide. John was very very kind to our entire group and had lots of fun facts, history, and stories about each of the tour stops. He also was very kind and would tell the bus where to beat the crowds and where the best photo op would be for each stop. And our driver John was so sweet and kind to clean the windows and EACH of the stops along the tour! All so everyone can get the best clear views and pictures. 100/10 I definitely recommend taking the tour if you have the opportunity!

You can call Tyrone! We love our guide he was very knowledgeable and friendly. The excursion included free water. Tyrone was also very good at taking pictures some of us didn’t know how to pose and he would suggest different poses. Honestly very skillful how he can drive and be so focus while silmoteneously giving history and fun facts of the island I don’t know how he does that. The small group option was perfect for us because we got to know everybody else in a more intimate less shy setting. Tyrone is good time he would play question games to pass the time and tell us funny stories. We were definitely very pleased w the booking.

Amazing! I had a great time on the tour and the guide prepared a perfect combo of sightseeing, food, and great vibes. My recommendation is to ask questions, share experiences and definitely enjoy the island as you take in all the great sights. You have to get up early, but it’s super worth it. You get to go to tourist hot spots before the rush hours and, as a result, take the best pictures. You’ll get the most intimate experiences with the nature and scenery without the crowds. I booked through Groupon and felt that the price is very fair. The entire tour runs from about 6am-ish to 2pm-ish, so you get back to Waikiki just in time for happy hour and some more free time. It’s great for literally everyone, and we had a great mix of ages in my group. As I previously stated, the tour guides are great and I really recommend asking them questions as they’re very knowledgeable of their island. Super fun time, and a great way to get to know Oahu as a whole.

Best Day of Our Hawaii Vacation!
Our family spent a full day exploring Oahu's North Shore with Ryan from Mahina Tours, and it ended up being the absolute highlight of our trip to Hawaii.Ryan came highly recommended, but somehow still managed to exceed our very high expectations. From the moment we met him, it was clear that he wasn't interested in giving us a standard tour. Instead, he created an incredible day tailored to our family's interests and abilities.We started the day snorkeling and were amazed by the fish and marine life we saw. Ryan then took us to a secluded area where we were able to see sea turtles without the crowds that gather at many of the more popular locations. We stopped for a great lunch at a local food truck, went kayaking, and later spent time boogie boarding in some fantastic North Shore waves.One of the most memorable parts of the day was watching Ryan work with our kids in the water. He patiently coached them on their technique, encouraged them every step of the way, and somehow managed to capture amazing photos throughout the day. His energy, enthusiasm, and genuine care for making sure everyone had a great experience were remarkable.What we appreciated most was that Ryan showed us a side of the North Shore we never could have discovered on our own. His local knowledge, passion for Hawaii, and ability to connect with people made the entire experience feel authentic and special.

I wish I could accurately put into words how I feel about this experience. My family and I didn't know what to expect because we never heard of a tour that gives a video but wow. We were floored by how professional Ryan was, how non intrusive the whole process was. We completely forgot he was filming. When we go the finished product (3 days later btw) I was quite frankly shocked. This product could easily have been 4-$5,000. The quality is amazing and the shots were stunning! My Family and I highly recommend this tour. Thank you a ton for the memories that will last forever!

I cannot overstate how absolutely amazing our day with Ryan was. He picked us up, and then we were off for a full day of activities in places I would never have been able to find on my own. I gave him a very loose idea of some activities we wanted (waterfalls, beach, boogie boarding, snorkeling). He took us to places I assume mostly locals know about, because none of them were crowded or touristy. He was so flexible with us, with 3 boys it was important to me that we did activities good for everyone, and I was concerned with how that would work out. He was right there with us, not standing off to the side, but in the water helping my kids jump off cliffs, or getting them on boards to surf. The kids absolutely loved him, and we loved that he had no issues changing plans when they wanted to spend more time on one activity than we thought. After our day he sent me a list of places we had either gone to and wanted to return, or places he had mentioned we would enjoy for the rest of our vacation. Both my husband and I were blown away with his services. The pictures do not do justice, except maybe for the fact that we were having such a great time that photos weren’t important. It is all of our favorite day of the entire trip.

She doesn't just show you sightlines: she teaches you the deep history, soul, and heritage of the island. Despite having an ambitious itinerary with so many places to see in a single day, Leo managed the schedule flawlessly.
