Most Holland America ships are in Hilo from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, about 9 hours. Hours change from one date to another, so check your date in the schedule on this page. Pick a tour that ends at least 2 hours before your ship sails, and Guaranteed Return to Ship has you covered.

You often pay less than for a similar tour through the ship, and you choose from every tour in port instead of the ship’s shortlist. You keep the same peace of mind: Guaranteed Return to Ship, free cancellation on most tours and help 24/7.

Pick your cruise line, ship and sail date in the cruise finder. Your cruise page shows every day of your trip, the hours your ship is in Hilo, and the tours for that day: close to port, quick tours and visitor favorites.

Book this way and our Guaranteed Return to Ship has you covered.

If your cruise line cancels the stop in Hilo, for weather or a change of itinerary, you get a full refund with no fees or, if you prefer, the same amount toward an excursion at another port of call. Bookings marked All Sales Final are not refunded.

Most shore excursions can be canceled free up to 24 hours before they start (Hilo time). A few tours have a different policy, and each tour page shows its own.
