Cool Hawaii is simply a third party booking system. Once you make your reservation with us, you will receive our very detailed confirmation email which will be your final confirmation for the tour. This email will outline all of the necessary information for the tour from us directly that will help to answer all of your questions, address our policies and provide helpful information for your upcoming tour. Cool Hawaii simply doesn't allow any space for this to happen prior to you booking. Again, the activity provider is Dive Kauai.

What To Expect
First time (non-certified) divers will experience the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program through the tour provider Dive Kauai, which covers the fundamental rules and guidelines of safe scuba diving. After a detailed, hands-on orientation, divers will enter shallow water and practice four basic scuba-related skills. These skills are designed to build confidence and to show you just how easy scuba diving really is. After satisfactorily completing the skills portion of your lesson, you are qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 40 feet under the direct supervision of our PADI instructors.
The entire process for a 1 tank introductory dive experience from arrival to departure takes approximately 2.5-3 hours.
This is just a THIRD PARTY reservations system. You will need to make final confirmation of your reservation with our Reservations Team at Dive Kauai.

No, you don’t need to have any previous Scuba experience, but you must be able to swim without a flotation device.
Mar 2022Participants in the Kauai’s Ultimate Discover Scuba Dive – OCEAN EXPERIENCE (1 Tank Dive) cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the activity start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the activity start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the activity start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the activity local time (HST).
- This activity requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
