Overview
This shark dive is an interactive research-based program now open to the public. It has been hailed as "one of the best programs for inspiring shark and marine conservation." Founded as a research program, One Ocean Diving opened to the public in an effort to help educate people about the reality of sharks and facilitate and empower people with firsthand experience on a shark dive.
Learn the latest shark research, biology, physiology, behavior, and specific body language from a marine biologist/shark specialist. Learn from the experts in the safest, most respectful way to interact with and enjoy sharing the water with these incredible animals.

What To Expect
Shark diving with the best! Ocean Ramsey teams take you on a very educational and safe shark dive. On the ride out, your marine biologist and safety diver/divemaster will educate you about shark behavior, biology, physiology, our current research, and how to interact with sharks safely. Below is a list of some of the information we will cover:
What species of sharks, pelagic fish, and whales should be looked for, and how to tell the difference between species.
How to determine gender and the differences in behavior
What specific shark behavior/body language to look for
How the shark's biology and physiology affect their behavior
How your behavior affects the shark's behavior
How to deter or entice a shark or pelagic animal
How weather and seasons affect the shark's behavior and how it can affect your specific shark dive
The significance of MANO (sharks) in Hawaiian and Polynesian culture.
How to contribute to or support the ID program for the Hawaii Shark Count.

- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Drones are not allowed on board for safety reasons.
- There is no age or height limit to come onboard the vessel. However, participants must be at least 4ft tall to get into the water.
- You must be physically fit and able to swim if you want to get into the water
- You do not need any previous dive experience, it is NOT a scuba dive. It is a shark snorkel with the opportunity to swim down, but you do not need to swim below the surface if you donʻt want to.
