Overview
Here at Ohana Surf Project our biggest priority is SAFETY! Our coaches and guides are professional, trained in safety (CPR, lifeguard, first aid), and friendly.
We strive to provide the best service to every person who chooses to join us on the water and we welcome their loved ones who come along to support them as well. We are passionate about what we do and specialize in three ways of teaching you how to glide across the water: surf, stand up paddle and bodyboard. All of our staff members have been in the business for many years and are some of the finest instructors in the industry. We love what we do and we enjoy working together, as a team and as ohana, to make our students feel safe, comfortable, and successful.
We look forward to welcoming you into our ohana and showing you the aloha spirit that has kept each of us here in Hawaii-- enjoying life & good company, respecting the 'aina (our mother earth), having fun and staying active.

Meeting and Pickup
We offer courtesy pickup from Waikiki from our four standard pickup locations 10-45 minutes prior to your lesson time:(1) Ilikai Hotel (2) Romer Waikiki at the Ambassador Hotel (3) Don Ho Lane Van Depot (4) Hyatt RegencyFor customers staying at the Ala Moana Hotel, Hale Koa Hotel, Kahala Hotel and Resort, The Ritz Carlton or The Ka La'i Waikiki Beach, we may be able to arrange a special pickup closer to the hotel with a notification call or email at least 24 hours in advance.If either the customer or accompanying guest has a handicap or injury and needs to arrange a special pickup, please call or email us with 24 hours notice and we are more than happy to come directly to your hotel.

What To Expect
Hop on the Surf School Bus!
Enjoy our complimentary Waikiki shuttle to the Ohana Surf Center at the Waikiki Beach Marriott. Ride in our clean, air-conditioned yellow bus or white shuttle van with our logo. After check-in, gear-up, and a quick safety briefing, we’ll shuttle you to the beach.
Meet your instructor, discuss your experience and comfort level, then head to the ocean with your high-quality board. Once you're ready, we hit the water!
After your lesson, return to the Surf Center to view photos, videos, and shop merch—then we’ll shuttle you back to your drop-off location.

- Please come prepared for the lesson by wearing your bathing suit, bringing a towel, and making sure to apply sunscreen ahead of time
- If you are prone to seasickness, you may want to take a remedy you are accustomed to using about an hour before the lesson (talk to your doctor for recommendations).
- All of our written materials are also available in Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. We will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee, Japanese, Korean, Spanish or Chinese speaking-instructors without enough advance notice.
- Complimentary transportation is available from select locations in Waikiki. Exact pick-up location and time will be emailed to you by the supplier. If you do not receive these details 24 hours prior to your lesson, please contact Ohana Surf Project.
